This time, I thought I would let the books take you to Africa. In many ways, Africa is a continent that is foreign and exotic, and even if you go there as a tourist, it is difficult to get a grip on so much beyond the tourist hotels. But the books are up to the challenge!
5 books that take you to Africa
Here are five books that will take you to another Africa. A beautiful, dramatic, tough and often cruel Africa.
- A flower in the African desert by Waris Dirie - the unlikely story of a poor nomadic girl in Somalia who becomes a supermodel.
- Slav by Mende Nazer - A girl in Sudan is sold as a slave to a rich Arab family in Khartoum and then sold to the Sudanese ambassador in London.
- The White Masai by Corinne Hoffman - A Swiss businesswoman travels to Kenya with her boyfriend, falls head over heels in love with a handsome Maasai and moves into his hut....
- Prisoner in the desert by Malika Oufkir - When her father takes part in a coup d'état against the King of Morocco, growing up in unimaginable luxury in the castle is replaced by 20 years of imprisonment underground.
- Africa on my mind by Marcus Samuelsson - a cookbook in the middle of it all, Marcus has returned to the Africa of his early childhood and offers both traditional and modern African recipes.

Yes, I hope so 🙂 I really want to learn the language much better. I did not read anything in high school so I have lost a little. But it can be better in just a few weeks I think 🙂 .
Well, what fun 🙂 on which stables have you been?:)

Ah what fun! I have always wanted to go to Thailand! I've been to Turkey, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany and now the USA. So I have not travelled so much 🙂 Mostly within Sweden. Hugs

Thank you so much 🙂 It's so much fun to take photos, and it's even more fun when you get feedback!
