Björknäs camping in Upplands Bro is a simpler model, but sometimes a bit of nature, a glimpse of the water, an electric pole and some toilets go a long way. We set up a good Easter lunch for ourselves outside the motorhome and then enjoyed the sun all day. What a fantastic high summer heat!
Easter lunch at Björknäs campsite
When it's this fantastic heat at Easter, you just have to take the opportunity to enjoy it! As soon as we parked the motorhome, we took out the outdoor furniture and set up Easter lunch in the sun outside the motorhome.
It was gravlax with courtmaster's sauce, eggs with rum, smoked mutton, a good cheese, cherry tomatoes and some boiled potatoes. Together with beer and a nubbe in the sun it tasted perfect! Then, of course, we sat there for a long, long time and enjoyed the fantastic weather. Can you have it better than this?
Nice evening - cold morning
As the evening darkened, we lit a candle and listened to Eva Dahlgren and Ulf Lundell in the balmy evening. We could keep the door open for a long time and the atmosphere was really great. However, we did not manage to connect the computer to the network (Tele2 via Iphone), so there was no blogging at that time, but it worked out later!
Today I have unfortunately woken up with a severe sore throat, which has escalated to fever and body aches. I feel really bad actually and am only up for a short while now, before crawling back to bed ... This was perhaps a sad ending to the weekend, but despite this we feel fantastically happy with our Easter trip!
UpdateSince we wrote this post, Björknäs campsite has become part of the First Camp campsite chain, and it is quite possible that the service and offerings are completely different today.

Sometimes it's nice to NOT have access to the internet 🙂 .
We have also done some camping this week - although we rented a camping cabin 😉.

Hard to get sick in the heat ... hope you get better quickly! I've been to the countryside and there I'm also without Internet, really nice actually, although you get a little withdrawal anyway ...

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Get well soon! Saw that you have passed my home region. I work in Strängnäs now, where I commute by train. It is a cosy little summer town that has some goodies to offer.

This Easter will go down in history as the best ever. We should enjoy it as much as we can if we have exhausted this year's allotment of beautiful weather. I'm sorry you're sick now. Take care of yourself!

Yes, an absolutely fantastic weekend! For us as rookies when it comes to motorhomes, it could not have been better! Everything worked after the winter rest. Now we look forward to more trips, this weekend it will be Ålanskryss without a motorhome.
