We are training hard at the moment and following a training programme with six sessions a week. Recently, I've started to feel stronger and have become much better at doing push-ups, among other things. But what happens then? Well, yesterday I went a little too far and ... boom.
Pain in the arm
We ran our training programme as usual. I felt a sudden pain in my right forearm and immediately there was a swelling. Now I think I have a torn muscle. It will probably take a few weeks to heal, and in the meantime you should not exercise.
Now it is the forearm, so I can continue to train fitness, legs, stomach and back. But I will have to modify the training sessions a lot in the future. I won't be needing my training gloves with weights for a while ...

Ow, ow, ow. That's not funny. You can take comfort in the fact that it would have been worse if you had hurt your leg or back.
Good behaviour my friend

Henny, thank you! Yes, I try to think like that... it would have been more difficult to continue training if the injury was in one leg.

It's not fun, but it's better to keep it in moderation. 6 days a week might be a bit much, but some people want to train that much. Two of our boys are like that, but we take it moderately. Hope the injury heals, but you might want to ask one of your colleagues at work to check just in case. Take care of yourself and take it easy this weekend. 3 M

Oh, so damn stupid! But nice that you see a continuation with training other parts during the healing period, I believe in you 🙂 ðŸ™'
(I myself yesterday found a bruise on my upper arm that hurt like hell, I don't understand what I've done, sore all the way to my legs, so maybe I have a sympathy injury with you, thought I'd take it easy too if it's still there on Monday for the next session)

Seniors Speculate, yes, six days a week is a bit much! We tend to go "all in" when it comes to most things... haha. The plan was to train this much in the beginning, and then maybe find a slower form for maintenance. Yes, I looked up a physiotherapist at work on Friday! So I've got some advice.
😉
Frankie & Co, yes it feels quite sad when you wanted to go in for this ... but as I said, I can continue with some of the training anyway, fortunately. Oops, it really sounds like a sympathetic injury! Mine also appears as a large hard bruise, but as I understand it is the bleeding around the muscle rupture. Then the arm feels weak and hurts easily ...
