We have previously written about the Tapout XT training programme, which we have now been running for more than 90 days at home in front of the TV. We've received some questions about the programme, so we thought we'd tell you a bit more about it!
12 different training DVDs
The programme contains 12 different training DVDs, which are alternated according to a schedule. Each session is about 45 minutes long and there are six sessions per week. The short abdominal workout "Ultimate Abs" also comes as an extra bonus sometimes. If you follow the programme, it's really intense! The pace is high and it is almost impossible to keep up in the beginning. But it is quite easy to understand the exercises and you get better and better!
What we like is that you can work out at home, that you don't need weights or machines, and that it's varied. Exercises include everything from push-ups and sit-ups to boxing, jumping and yoga. Many times long or short rubber bands are used for resistance. These 12 sessions are included:
- Strength and Force Upper - Chest, shoulders and triceps
- Plyo - Fitness training with a focus on legs
- Cross Core Combat - Boxing with a focus on abs
- Competition Core - Belly and side
- Buns and Guns - Buttocks, biceps and triceps
- Yoga - Stretch and balance
- Sprawl and Brawl - Explosive martial arts training
- Muay Thai - Boxing with punches and kicks
- Ripped Conditioning - Biceps and triceps
- Ultimate Abs - 15 min different situps
- Cardio - Intensive cardio workout
- Legs and Back - Legs, buttocks and back
Update: We later wrote about the tough sequel: Tapout XT 2
BP says:
How do you find the time to do that as well????!!!!! I'm just tired of the very idea after all the renovation work.
Answer: Oh, you are staying in "my" neighbourhood, I didn't know that. Thought you kept house on the Solna side. Ok, it's not so far from Vasastan if you say so. Does that mean I should start looking for you... or you for me;-)?

BP, haha, when you describe it like that, we sound a bit... hysterical (smiles). Well, it's true that I mostly stay on the Solna side (we have moved from Norrbacka to Widerströmska now, the large newly built house beyond the auditorium). But in a slightly larger perspective, I thought that it is still quite close... and of course it happens that I get across the bridge to St Eriksplan... 😉

Hey, hey, hey, hey,
Question. I am going to start tapout on Thursday I thought and am now looking for a resistance band for my legs. I have seen that stadium has rubber bands in 2-pack and it looks like that is what is shown in the picture. Is that it, or where can I find similar ones?

Jenny, how nice that you are going to start tapout! Yes, we bought the mostist tapes at Stadium and there were two in the same pack, so it's probably the ones you've seen. And they work great. Good luck to you!

Mr Michael says:
Hi! I think Tapout XT seems really inspiring and well made!
My question to you is if you know how to get Tapout equipment? See that you have the Tapout Xt gloves, did you get the deluce package? Have surfed to their official website where they have a lot of good stuff in the shop to buy... But to my disappointment they only send to addresses in the US and Canada. Thanks for the tip to check stadium, I guess you need at least medium?
Thank you for sharing!

Mikael. we ordered everything from tvins.com (just call, in Sweden). You get everything in the package, but can buy with or without gloves. We bought without gloves and ordered them afterwards (which was stupid, because then it became more expensive). You get rubber bands in the package, but the ones that came with it were quite light. Therefore (and because we are two) we bought new ones at Stadium. We have bought a medium and a hard, I would rather buy medium to start with.

Mr Mark says:
hello a question, Once you have trained for 90 days, should you start from the beginning to stay in shape?
01 September 2013 - 20:53
admin says:
Markus, I actually don't know what they're going to do after those 90 days. To some extent, of course, you should continue if you want to stay in shape. For us, it felt realistic to start from the beginning with the programme, but to reduce the number of days per week. Then it feels like you can maintain the shape, but still have time to have a life too 🙂 But you have to decide for yourself what feels realistic and what ambition you have.

Johanna Edengren Careliusson says:
Hello, I have a little question for you!
In a couple of days, my mum and I have finished our first round of Tapout and of course want to order the "earned with sweat" shirt, did you do it? If so, did you manage to order one each, and how did you do it?
Because I guess you didn't buy twice the whole package (dvds, diet plans, yes the whole kit) just because you are two? And you have to have some kind of order confirmation to be able to order, and I don't know if the same works twice.
Thank you in advance, Hugs 🙂

Johanna, waow well done! Fun to drive mother and daughter! Unfortunately I can't answer your question. We haven't bought the shirt, so I don't know. But I agree. Of course, we didn't buy two programmes either, but one that we supplemented with extra rubber bands and gloves. Good luck!
