We have (finally) started training again. In fact, we've never had such a good training room at home as we do now in the houseboat. The room on the lower deck is spacious, and we now have a large area with exercise mats on the floor and a TV for exercise programmes in front of it. Absolutely perfect actually!
Our training room
We have decorated part of the room on the lower deck as a training room. We have laid out puzzle mats on the floor and put a TV in front of it where we run our training videos. In a basket nearby we have our training equipment: training clothes, water bottles, resistance bands and weight gloves.
Our training programme
We run a training programme called Tapout XT. It consists of twelve different CDs and exercises that you can do at home, with some simple equipment such as resistance bands and weight gloves. The programme is very tough, but you can adapt it as you wish ...
Challenges in a houseboat?
Some challenges of training in a houseboat? Well, it would be 1) that the ceiling is so low that none of us can stretch our arms straight up and 2) that it rocks sometimes. The balance and yoga exercises are kind of difficult enough. without Many times it is very calm, but in recent days the weather has entertained itself with winds and sudden gusts ...
Today we did the absolute toughest programme, called Plyo. This is 50 minutes of legs and fitness at high speed. And it's windy outside! The winds are tearing at the boat and it rocks incessantly. Easier to train? Well, not exactly ...

As long as you don't rock the boat with your movements as well 😉.
But there are pills for seasickness;-)

Cool to have your own gym in the boat. With rocking in the boat, you get a very good balance, I can imagine. 🙂
Here we have been lulled to sleep from time to time when the wind has been strong. A motorhome that does not stand with support legs (we are too lazy to fold them down) so there is a lot of rocking when the wind is on.
Well done on starting up training again, thumbs up for that! Wish I had the same energy.

BP, haha, luckily no seasickness yet...
Lena & Jan, I imagine it can be rocky there too!
Maggan and Ingemar, recognise that it can rock in a motorhome too! We usually do not manage to fold down the support legs ...
