We haven't quite finished reporting from Caravan Stockholm yet. Now it's time to present some other interesting quirks that we got to know ... a camper with slide-out and a "Mini-move".
Previous reports from the fair
We have presented our general impressions and we have written about our favourite cars at the fair. However, we still have a lot of exciting things to tell you about. Stay tuned!
Camper with slide-out
I haven't given much thought to campervans (the body that attaches to a pickup truck) before, but I have to say that I was pretty excited when I saw the Adventurer Euroliner, shown by Camperways. With a campervan you can go pretty much anywhere, and that's pretty cool!
The interior was also more comfortable and cosy than I could have imagined. Not least in the Adventurer Euroliner, which has a slideout, which can be folded out when stopped and makes the living area much more airy. I'm actually a bit keen ... Would you consider a camper van?
Mini-Move - battery-powered electric scooter
Many people want to take a smaller and more flexible vehicle with them in their motorhome, whether it's a bicycle, electric bike, moped or motorbike. At the 2014 fair, the vehicle tram, which we were a bit curious about. The fair price was reasonably ok, but when we looked for it later, it had risen significantly in price.
Instead, this year the Mini-Move, a small battery-powered electric scooter, was on display. The vehicle is foldable, weighs 18 kg and needs to be charged for 2-4 hours to travel 40-45 km. A bicycle basket can be attached to the front, and the price is about 11 thousand SEK. What do you think - is this a vehicle you would consider taking with you in your campervan when travelling?
Aila & Niklas says:
We have a Vespa in our motorhome. I thought the Minin was nice, small and smart, but where is the luggage?

Linnea says:
That electric scooter is perhaps not something I would dare to go on excursions with, but to hop away and buy breakfast with it, I would probably dare 🙂 However, it will be expensive breakfast cheeses if it is only what it would be used for, ha ha! 🙂

Linnea says:
Breakfast cheeses would be breakfasts 😉 but iof course they are expensive breakfast cheeses too.

Mr Frank Olsen says:
Yes, this one looked a bit cool 🙂
But what is it that "slides" out on the page?
Is it a sofa/sitting area?

Aila & Niklas, vespa sounds smooth! You can have a bicycle basket on the front of the Mini-Move, but that's probably all.
Linnea, haha, both expensive breakfast and expensive breakfast cheese perhaps 😉 With a large motorhome, you sometimes have to park a bit away from everything and therefore it can often be convenient with a small vehicle, perhaps for more than breakfast shopping 😉.
Frank, it's the kitchen that gets worn out. The kitchen is there anyway, but if you don't wear it out, it becomes very cramped and there is little space in the kitchen.

Maggan and Ingemar says:
No, those miniature bikes are probably not for us. However, the camper seems interesting. Would love to have a slightly smaller motorhome, Fun to look at new floor plans.

Ditte says:
I travelled around in a camper for a couple of months in the USA and it worked great. It was an old model, like a converted Volkswagen bus, but we got everywhere, which I thought was an advantage. And this in comfortable and new version I would probably like to rent again.
The mini scooter seems expensive, with small wheels and only enough room for one person. Maybe I would instead invest in a good folding bike. Have tried these and then you get the exercise on the purchase and do not have to think about charging. And a motorbike or moped can often be rented if you want to go longer distances and then without being limited by a barter that can run out, you also get two pieces.
But it was a fun idea.

Maggan and Ingemar, we are also a bit curious about smaller cars and a camper looked a bit different inside compared to other small motorhomes. Interesting!
Ditte, glad you tried travelling around with a camper! 🙂 There are some different ideas about small vehicles from time to time. Exciting, but I myself have a little limited experience of what is best and what you need.
Steve, in a way you are always a bit limited in terms of size and weight, but on the other hand it leads to many new creative ideas! 🙂

Lennart says:
We prefer large motorhomes as we live in them a lot!

Mr Steve says:
Restrictions do not seem to be a burden on the motorhome world.
If you want to live the campervan life to the full, you have all the options.
Interesting - Impressive - Innovative are all attributes that apply to the motorhome industry today.

Thank you very much for your reports from the fair. It's always fun to see what's going on. Most interesting were of course the two lorries that you liked. I look forward to the summer when I can go out in them myself. I bought it late last autumn and haven't lived in it yet, just practiced parking and reversing using only rear view mirrors.

BP says:
So when you go to the Camperways page, the first thing I think of is the barrack, but smaller. So well, do not really know, but as I said I have no experience and can not compare either.
And I got a laugh when you finally "doubled" a picture. I also thought these little Mini-Moves were cute, but way too expensive considering how small they really are. Then I prefer regular bikes actually or why not a "real" scooter. Most large motorhomes even had a "reserved" place at the bottom and back of the car where you can transport the scooter.

Annika says:
Yes, those "campers" on pick-ups are often seen here too. A little smoother certainly than the usual large house buses (with a car on a trailer) that you also often see. How nice and cosily decorated it was.
Handy to have a small electric scotter when you're on site!

Lena in Wales says:
An electric scooter sounds cool, but so does the price.
You have the answer to your question with me!

admin says:
Lennart, a bigger car can be good if you want to spend a long time in it!
BP, doubled? Yes, many motorhomes have space in the back. But then there's that weight restriction nonsense that messes things up sometimes 😉.
Henny, glad you liked reading about the pets! Oh, how exciting it must be to go out with the new house ice this spring! 🙂
Annika, yes it is a typical American model so I can imagine that you see them "over there" from time to time!
Lena in Wales, ok then I'll check in with you!

Ama de casa says:
I think that mini thing looked really cool! But I probably don't have a great need for one 🙂 .

Matts Torebring says:
I can't imagine sleeping crosswise and I'd like to be able to travel on all fours sometimes, but the latter might be possible.
24 February 2016 - 19:49
admin says:
Ama de casa, otherwise it would be fun to see you on the blog whizzing along on one of those here and there 🙂 .
Matts, it's interesting that you think so differently! We sleep "crosswise" in our motorhome now and have always done, so it does not feel strange at all 😉 Did not see that there were any extra beds anywhere, so do not think so.

Can you make the electric scooter to 2000 please, it was a bit rough
