We have just returned from the Elmia Husvagn Husbil fair, where we spent a whole week. Perhaps the most fun part of this week was all the people we met. Among other things, we met a whole bunch of wonderful motorhome bloggers. Several of them we have followed for many years, but this was in many cases the first time we met for real.
Many motorhome bloggers on site
A lot of motorhome bloggers were at the Elmia exhibition this year. We came to the conclusion that it must be that a large part of "Sweden's motorhome blogging elite" was there, and we actually got a meeting outside our motorhome on Saturday. Not everyone could be at that meeting and I didn't really get a picture of everyone (there was so much going on and so many impressions), but a bunch of them were captured anyway.
We met Anette and Göran from Motorhome criss-crosswho also invited us home for a very nice evening with picnic food and wine in his fine Carthago. Several times we met the happy and nice Nisse, who blogs at Motorhome and travelling.
He helped out as an official at the Elmia fair, and we have to say that the Caravan Club officials were fantastic and were there through thick and thin, day and night. We also finally got to meet Matts Torebring and his wife Birgitta, a blog we have followed for a long, long time. Fantastically fun meetings!
Many more motorhome bloggers came forward and made themselves known at our table at the fair. We met Nilla and Micke from the lively blog Our motorhome holidays (and yes, they were just as happy and nice for real!). We also got to meet the somewhat "secret" couple from the blog! Hobby on the road - They have never shown themselves on the blog - but now you can see them here!
I had a nice chat with Lennart from Lennart's thoughts. We also had a chance to talk to Ann-Sofie and Lennart from Always on the move and with Arne from Gila motorhome. Arne and his wife Inga-Lill haven't updated the blog for a while, but they will soon be travelling to France. Then we can probably look forward to some new blog posts!
We met Aila from Liberty's familyand it was a nice reunion since we had met at other fairs before. I also got a chance to chat with Torgny from Ulla & Torgny on an adventure, who helped us with tips and advice when we had LPG problems during our trip around Europe. Last but not least, we met the lovely couple behind the blog. Motorhome Helgenamely Bengt and Ingela.
Other bloggers - and a bubbler
There were not only pure motorhome bloggers present. Johan, who guided us through the caravans at the fair, blogs about mobile accommodation on Caravanum. Alexandra blogs about travelling, everyday life and training on her blog Tenderlyn. You might remember that she was a guest on our blog a while ago and told us about family camping in tents and caravans, including in Australia? They are curious about getting a campervan themselves and were looking at a Volkswagen California.
Finally, here's a bubbler. Rico has no blog at all, but if we are lucky he will start one. He read our blog post about our favourite motorhomes at Caravan Stockholm and was inspired to buy a Globe-traveller flatbed. Now he has sold the house and is preparing the last things to go on a 2 year trip in Europe. He's thinking of blogging during the trip - and we think he should, don't we?
Nilla says:
Lovely collection 🙂
Thanks again for the initiative - it's great to see everyone in person!
What a weekend we had! We live long on that 🙂
All the best Hugs

It must be a bit special to meet so many "real" people that you've spent some time with but haven't seen live.

What fun with so many nice and rewarding meetings and a successful fair.
Glad that everything was so successful at Elmia.
It is fun for me, who is completely unfamiliar with the industry, to see a taste of everything that is coming and I think you have made good presentations.
We don't have a motorhome, but it's still fun to see what's available.

Selling the house and embarking on a 2 year long trip through Europe sounds absolutely fantastic and crazy 😉 I am absolutely a coward 😉.
It must be fun to meet bloggers you've been hanging out with through blogging in real life.

I'm glad you got to meet so many people.
And when you embark on new adventures as Rico plans to do, the blog is a very good thing! After a while you forget everything you've been through and experienced, when you scroll back it's fun to remember everything again. I am amazed myself sometimes.

Nilla, thank you! Surely it was a fantastic fun fair and meeting! We feel like you, we can live on this for a while! 🙂
Marina, it's very funny. Some you feel like you already know and others surprise! 🙂
Ditte, there may have been an overdose of motorhomes here for a while, haha. Now it might be a little more mixed for a while 😉.
Nils-Åke, we missed you, but on the other hand we met many other times during the fair! Have a great time!
Ann-Sofie and Lennart, great to meet you! Hope you have a great time on Öland!
Åsa in Åsele, sometimes it's nice (and inspiring) when people dare to be a bit crazy, even if it doesn't suit everyone 😉.
Emma, that's a very good point! We also use the blog as a memory aid. Would never remember the names of all the places e.g. otherwise...

I wish we had time for the blog meeting....
There wasn't quite enough time to do everything...
But it was a good fair, wasn't it?

Finally, my blog/internet has corrected itself so that it updates the blogs we follow!
Funny that you got to meet so many and several of these we also follow. Have missed Gila's blog but then I know that they are in the starting pits and drive down to France which we are currently in.
Hugs from us in the heat +30 degrees.

Aila, it's hopeless to catch everything, we know! We thought the fair was really good, lots of accessories too! 🙂
Lennart, I agree, it's probably one of the best things about the fair!
Znogge, intense and fun!
Annar, thank you so much for your nice and encouraging comment! Great to get such feedback, we are really happy! Glad to hear that you had a nice trip in the Moselle Valley too!
Ama de casa, really great fun 🙂 .
Alexandra, thank you! Great to meet you! Yes, I'm pretty tired today... Fortunately, it's only the employment and the tasks that are new. I know the premises and the colleagues, so it won't be as exhausting!
JoY, it's great that the update of the blogs has been corrected. I heard someone else had a similar problem, so maybe it was a temporary issue? Have a great time in France!

I usually come last on the posts page, work takes so much time. Thank you friends for the initiative for the blog meeting and the great presentation of all of us. Surely it was the elite that was gathered. Good luck in the future. I think you are so great as "full-time bloggers". I wish you all the best in the future.

I just want to recognise you for your posts from the Elmia weekend. We also had a little chat with you, Helena, on Saturday. As ambitious as you are, we can only wish you good luck as "full-time bloggers". Britt-Marie and Lars (from Falköping)
