Yesterday we wrote about blog year 2016 and what the statistics had to say, and a few weeks ago we wrote about travel year 2016. It's time to summarise the media year 2016! A lot has happened in our social channels, our blog has won awards and we have been featured on radio and in newspapers. And that's something to celebrate, right? More social media!
In 2016, we have gained more followers both on our Facebook page and on our Instagram accountand is now up to about 1600 followers on each of the sites. Super fun! On FB we share our blog posts, but also post pictures sometimes or share other people's posts. On Instagram, Peter posts photos, and they are usually completely different pictures than the ones we show on the blog. Feel free to follow too!
What else has happened? Well, we have opened a Youtube channel, where we have all .... (drumroll)... 6 followers! If you also start following, we will quickly increase several percentage points, haha. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to see our films and 360 videos!
Surprise awards
We can say that the blog received several flattering awards during the year. Perhaps the most fun was being nominated for the Golden Pen Award in Croatia, for all the articles we have written about fantastic Croatia. And how surprised we were when we won the "Travel Innovator 2016" award!

Radio and newspapers
In 2016, we were featured on the radio or podcast three (!) times. There has also been one newspaper article about us and two online interviews.

The year Peter became a film star
Last but not least, we have to highlight 2016 as the year when Peter became a "film star". You may remember when Peter told us about the filming of the commercial? Now the film is ready and you can watch it on our Facebook page! What he is promoting is not Hulk comics or the Green Party, as you might think, but Kiliaro, a photo and video storage service.

Yes, how do you manage, you have a "regular" job too. A strength to be two. Even as inspiration 😀 And it helps if you like to write. If your fingertips are not itching for letters, it will be more difficult.

I store on extra hard drives and move at the end of the year, but this service seems to be something for all of us who worry about losing our photos.
