This May Day weekend we have been at home in the houseboat. We have cleaned and worked on the computers - really nice to get things in order actually. But soon things will happen here on the blog. We have lots of exciting things going on! Now it's time to present our spring and summer travel plans.
Table of contents
Sailing with Gratia
In the coming weekend we will join the Swedish Cruiser Club's Sailing School on a sailing trip with Gratia, which is a former luxury yacht from 1990. This will really be soooo exciting!
I have already read the packing list for this weekend's adventure. I think I'm going to skip the wellies, swimwear, sheath knife and musical instruments, but I'm pretty happy with the contents of Peter's dive bag. At least it reminds me a bit of a sailor's bag, right?
Party in Amsterdam
The following weekend we are travelling to Amsterdam with a whole bunch of 'youngsters': Peter's son Robin and his wife Alexandra, Peter's niece Dessi and her husband Lasse, Peter's nephew Sebbe and his girlfriend Moa, and Robin's mate ... also called Robin.
We are going to a concert and see Armin van Buuren's 20th anniversary at the Amsterdam Arena. The whole gang is excited and we have decided that we will dress in white. Almost makes you think back to Sensation White in Oslo 2011!
Helicopter flight in Stockholm
The weekend after Amsterdam, we have had the chance to try our hand at helicopter flight over Stockholm. Wehoo! Will be just so much fun!
Film festival in the Czech Republic
At the end of May, it's time for a press trip to the Czech Republic. It seems to be a tour of Moravia with culture, festivals and a film festival "in honour of Astrid Lindgren". "We've been to the Czech Republic a few times now and have become very fond of the country, so we're looking forward to this.
Weekend in Serbia
We are in the process of arranging a trip to Belgrade in Serbia, and if it turns out as we want, we will go in June. However, it's not ready yet, so if we don't get it, we'll have to postpone the trip to the autumn.
Motorhome trip around Poland and the Czech Republic
I know that some of you got the impression that we already got the motorhome home (maybe we were unclear), but that's not really the case. However, we have received positive news that the workshop has now received the right parts and should be able to fix it. We expect to be able to pick it up in Kristinehamn soon. Peter will make a film about it!
This summer's big campervan plan is a three-week tour of the world. Poland and Czech Republic. It will be really fantastic to get into the motorhome again. We love travelling in different ways, but the motorhome is something special!
Motorhome trip to Wismar
On 17-20 August, we have planned to experience the Swedish festival in Wismar in Germany. "We thought it would be fun to go as a group and have invited others with motorhomes to join us. So far, nine motorhomes have registered that they want to join us. Soooo much fun! Shout (or send an email perhaps) if you also want to join!
And more ...
We will certainly have time for some events and blog parties as well. Once we get the motorhome, we can also go on shorter trips. And of course we want to hang out here in the marina ... Already yesterday we started to notice a hectic life with boats, jet skis and canoes. In two weeks, a new restaurant will open here in the marina (since Sjökrogen closed down)!
We hope you will join us on all our crazy trips and adventures! Do you have a trip or other fun event to look forward to?
PS.
If someone (Ama de casa) is wondering, yes there are two Dry Martini on the top picture. After a little misunderstanding, we can now clarify that Peter not drank a Drajja while installing the crane (even though the the bowl of washing-up liquid in the photo After all the talk, we got hungry ... so last night we had a Dry Martini for real!
Lennart says:
An exciting time ahead!

Great to have so many fun things to look forward to! Wismar would have been great in time, but we will probably help our oldest daughter move then. Otherwise we are heading south in a month 😀.

Wonderful travel plans! But as you say this is also the best time to enjoy at home as well. Clever!
02 May 2017 - 7:36
Helena says:
Yes, but isn't it? But regardless, we will be home a little too. If nothing else, I have a job to do 😉.
02 May 2017 - 18:49
Marina says:
As I know I've said before, you won't be able to grow any moss on it 😉.
What a wonderful spring and summer you have ahead of you! It will be so much fun to follow along. For our part, we will try to get our "Swedish life" in order, but a "small excursion" to Bulgaria to "get what we have there", and then there will probably be something more, we'll see... we have not planned much at all really and it feels pretty good right now...
02 May 2017 - 8:05
Helena says:
Sometimes it's nice not to have too much planned! And understand that you want to get organised with life in Sweden!
02 May 2017 - 18:51
Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
You do not sit still. It will be fun to follow!
02 May 2017 - 8:12

Mr Steve says:
Puh!!!! I can experience all this as well. Great!
Great picture with the two Dragons.
For my own part, it is Getingstorp that applies. Yesterday we had both the barbecue premiere and the meal premiere in the greenhouse.
02 May 2017 - 9:00
Helena says:
Oh how wonderful that you finally had a barbecue premiere and meal in the greenhouse! 🙂
02 May 2017 - 18:52
Anna says:
Yesterday we watched the TV programme Who lives here? One of the participants lived on a houseboat in the Pampas Marina.
I know some people who live there! I was about to say out loud to the family. But I managed to change my mind to - "I follow a blog and those who have the blog live there" 🙂 .
Funny feeling, I feel like I know you 😉.
Fun with all the exciting things you will experience this summer. I will follow you 😉
Hugs from "Annatettas"
02 May 2017 - 9:00
Helena says:
I'm glad you saw the programme! We knew they recorded it, but we missed it being shown yesterday. Maybe we can see it afterwards! And how nicely written by you, that it feels like we know each other 🙂 Funny that you follow the blog!
02 May 2017 - 18:55
Anki says:
Wow! Much planned for the summer - do not understand how you have time for everything - you are fantastic 🙂 .
02 May 2017 - 9:07

Haha, I don't know how we keep up with it either ... sometimes it doesn't feel like we do 😉.
02 May 2017 - 18:56

We are also happy to travel with the Blog 🙂 .

02 May 2017 - 18:57
Ama de casa says:
Haha! I really hoped there wasn't "dishwashing liquid" in those glasses too - thanks for the clarification 😀.
I think you live so nicely, and yet you don't seem to enjoy your home? Yes, as you fly around in other places ... 😉 But it really sounds like absolutely wonderful plans there.
It may be that there is an occasional travel plan for us too... 🙂 ).
Have a great day!
PS: I wrote "dishwashing liquid" in quotes, as I suspect there might have been a drajja in that bowl after all... 😉 😀.
02 May 2017 - 9:39
Helena says:
Haha, you never know for sure, do you? 😉 The dragon on the deck was at least good 🙂 We actually feel very good at home, we only have a few ants in our trousers .... There is so much to see and experience in this world 😉 .
02 May 2017 - 18:59
Imelda says:
A lot of fun to look forward to, I see, of course we follow your tours!

02 May 2017 - 19:00
Veiken says:
Everything sounds great, but I'm a bit jealous of that helicopter ride!
There are some plans for the summer.
Say it if you like:
64°8′N 21°56′W
65°36′N 17°00′V
54°20′N 10°08′E
Plus some other spontaneous stuff.
Enjoy the spring sunshine!
02 May 2017 - 10:18
Helena says:
So, help! We have tried now ... on Google maps and on Eniro ... but we do not succeed! (We admit we have a poor grasp of this with coordinates...) But we are of course curious!!! Hope you Veiken (or someone else!) can help us out! 🙂
02 May 2017 - 19:51
Veiken says:
The coordinates should tell you that we start with Kiel. A repeat favourite.
Then it's off to Iceland - we've been there in the autumn many years ago. Time to see the island in a different colour scheme! With a (as I hope) whale safari where we can see killer whales and blue whales among other things - if we are lucky! 😉
03 May 2017 - 8:16
gun says:
Sounds like an exciting spring and summer, and I'm certainly on board.
02 May 2017 - 12:48
Helena says:
Glad you're following along 🙂
02 May 2017 - 19:51
Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
What a wonderful spring and summer awaits you. I'm really looking forward to the weekend on the sailing ship.
It will also be fun to follow you through Poland and the Czech Republic. It would also have been great fun to follow you to Wismar, a city we just whizzed past, but my four week holiday in August - September we have planned to spend really far north (if the weather gods are kind). The advantage of a motorhome is that you don't have to book and plan so carefully....
02 May 2017 - 13:05
Helena says:
Everything does not always fit, but it still sounds like you have nice plans! Agree that the nice thing about a motorhome is that you do not have to plan everything in advance 🙂.
02 May 2017 - 19:52
Kjell says:
HOJT!!!! (Isn't that a drink?)
Well, I would like to register my and my beloved's interest in the trip to Wismar:)
We will discuss the details over a plate of Palt in May;) (if you have time, of course?)
Hugs
02 May 2017 - 13:30
Helena says:
But oh, what fun!!! You are registered! And of course we discuss the details over a plate of palt! It is booked in the almanac and you are sooo welcome! 🙂
02 May 2017 - 19:54
Dessan says:
Ähhhh now Kjell beat me to it. We hope to follow you and make some changes in other things we have planned to do. But as Kjell said, we'll talk more when we meet over dinner for a few ceckas???Hugs
02 May 2017 - 14:48
Helena says:
Of course we talk more when we meet in a few weeks! 🙂 Hugs to you!
02 May 2017 - 19:54
Ditte says:
Lots of fun and variety going on! Really!
Travel plans are also here, but we decide quite late for trips but some in Sweden will be in the summer and Spain of course plus a little more. We basically have all the time in the world and do not have to decide more than a short time before which we like. However, sometimes it is sold out, but then there are other things to do. And I really like Stockholm in the summertime.
02 May 2017 - 15:51
Helena says:
Sure, it's nice not to plan so far in advance. We are not always out in such good time either ... Also agree that Stockholm is nice in the summer! We will probably have time to see a lot of it too. After all, I will work a lot during July and August (and the advantage then is that you have the long evenings after work :)).
02 May 2017 - 19:56
Lena & Jan says:
Wonderful travel programme that awaits, keep up with ? on the blog! Sailboat travelling will be cool, I remember my only one with horror ??
The Czech Republic is really an interesting destination, we think!
You look so good in white clothes already, it will be nice in Holland, wasn't it supposed to be ?? ?
We roll to Hjo in June, Cluc Concorde Sweden's meeting, some Swedish ports, some MX competitions and in the autumn, finally to Roguetas de Mar in Spain again (after a break for a season), guess we are looking forward to it? ? ?
02 May 2017 - 16:00
Helena says:
But oh, I really understand that you long for Roquetas de Mar after the break!!!! Sounds like you have other nice plans too! But sailboat trip with horrors .... Was it something unpleasant that happened or do you just not like sailing ...?
02 May 2017 - 19:58
JoY says:
You have a lot of fun to look forward to, even those of us watching from afar?
Helicopter ride, lucky people who get to see Stockholm from above. Come out to us and land and pick me up? It's such an exciting, scary, body-tickling experience to ride a helicopter.
Hugs and have fun on Free
02 May 2017 - 16:57
Helena says:
Yes, it would be fun if we could pick you up with the helicopter 🙂 Will be great fun really! I have flown a helicopter once in my life, in the Faroe Islands about 20 years ago 😉.

Husis blog says:
Here it is to keep up with these trips via the blog, it will be exciting to take part in everything. But the fact that swimwear is not packed for this weekend's trip must still be a mistake by you...?.
02 May 2017 - 18:10
Helena says:
Haha, ok, maybe we are a little harsh... No, seriously, it should be HOT when you bathe! 🙂
02 May 2017 - 20:06
Kamilla says:
Wow what exciting travel plans you have planned. Motorhomes are really fun. My dad has one that we borrowed one summer. It was an adventure in itself.

Glad you tried a motorhome! It's an adventure to just go out and have the world in front of you (big and small), I love it! 🙂
02 May 2017 - 20:07
Anette Åhnbrink says:
That was a real drag?
Would be so fun to go to Wismar, when do you need to know if we could get away? How many days are you thinking?
All your trips sound very fun, is the flight to Zagreb only from Stockholm? There you would be able to squeeze yourself to go ...
Hope you have a nice sail, but I think you should bring your swimwear?/Anette
02 May 2017 - 18:37
Helena says:
The trip to Wismar is from Thursday to Sunday, but then it takes from Skåne, so first you have to get there 😉 Peter is checking with the ferries now about when they must have a final decision. Do not think there is any rush yet. Great fun if you can follow! 🙂 The flight to Zagreb only goes from Stockholm if I understand Peter correctly.

But oh, how fun that you will also fly a helicopter! And yes, that's a little bit how I feel too 🙂
03 May 2017 - 7:01
BP says:
So much fun and excitement on your schedule. It will be really interesting to see how you manage to visit 150 campsites in Poland and the Czech Republic that Peter wrote about. There you will have to put in a lot of effort;-)
As always, it will be great fun to follow you. Very much looking forward to the report from Amsterdam. Love that city )and the great looking policemen who speak perfect English there;-) ).
02 May 2017 - 22:55
Helena says:
Haha, Peter always thinks big ... 😉 There will NOT be so many campsites I can say ...! The handsome policemen in Amsterdam I will of course check out! 🙂
03 May 2017 - 7:03

Sounds like a busy summer, the film festival in the Czech Republic sounded incredibly fun, my job includes travelling around Europe and checking out dance performances at various festivals. It's so much fun. Most recently I was in Aarhus, Denmark.
