Elmia Husvagn Husbil, the Nordic region's largest trade fair for mobile life, is often referred to as the campers' New Year's Eve. Last year, more than 36,000 people visited the fair, which is the big camping festival of the year. On 6 - 10 September it's time again, but unfortunately we won't be there this year. We'll still tell you what's happening - and remind you of some of the highlights from last year!

Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2017
Elmia Husvagn Husbil is the perfect place to check out camping vehicles and accessories while socialising with like-minded people. This year the fair opens on Wednesday 6 September and closes on Sunday 10 September.
New motorhomes and caravans
Of course, the show features many new motorhomes, caravans and accessories. Some of the most interesting novelties in 2016 were the smart and secure Tuscany motorhomes from the Swift Group and the large and luxurious Morelo Empire.
In addition, we checked out motorhomes for large families with children, received expert guidance among the caravans and listed smart camping gadgets. What exciting news will be presented this year remains to be seen!
Feast
In addition to the fair itself, there are the usual shrimp feast, dance evenings and Oktoberfest. Some of the things we remember best from Elmia 2016 are the Oktoberfest and ... the more unofficial one. the performance with Elvis. Nice memories if you say so!
Motorhome friends
Perhaps the most fun thing about Elmia is meeting all our motorhome friends. Last year we also met a whole bunch of eminent motorhome bloggers. Check out the picture and you'll understand!
So why don't we go this year?
Now that we have done so much "advertising" for Elmia Husbil Husvagn, you may wonder why we don't go ourselves then. Well, it is simply that we are going on a Mediterranean cruise that week, which is not so bad either.
In addition, I have absolutely no holiday left, so it would not have been possible to rearrange the schedule either. Maybe we'll be there next year! And if you go to Elmia - don't forget to tell us about all the exciting news and meetings!
Across the board says:
Yes, we will be there soon 😀 .

We have the advantage of being able to go to Jönköping in about 50 minutes and now I happen to have Friday off so it will be a visit during the day. It is fun to see all the new things that are available, meet many nice people and you always carry out some "good-to-have things". This year I will look at a new tableware (even if my partner doesn't think it's a big necessity).

Thought to go to Elmia for the first time this year. It will be interesting to see the big fair and form my own opinion about the value of visiting Elmia Husvagn Husbil.

We are going there on Saturday, as I said, to look at caravans haha. 😉 I have actually stretched myself so far that I can imagine having a 5.99 plate...but not a cm longer *laughs*.
But we won't be buying one for a while as we are looking to move abroad for a year (in a year or two) and don't feel ready for that investment yet.
Too bad you are not going there, it would have been fun to meet again - but there will be more times 🙂 .
29 August 2017 - 15:32
Helena says:
Haha, 5,99 plåtis I think sounds like a good option! 🙂 But living abroad for a while also sounds interesting !!!! And yes, there will certainly be more times! 🙂

Husis blog says:
For the first time, I will be allowed to go there and stand inside the area. Last year I was only allowed to stand outside for a couple of nights. The owner also hopes to meet some bloggers as he is an avid reader of their blogs.

The fair is certainly cool, but Octoberfest with dancing and Elvis is pretty lame I think;-) You will have to wait for Caravan 2018 at Kistamässan early next year;-)
I would definitely prefer to go on a Mediterranean cruise rather than to Elmia, if for no other reason than the weather.
