We have installed LED lights in the motorhome. The advantage of LED lights is that they use much less power, which is always good and especially good in a motorhome where you don't always have unlimited electricity. To make life a little more fun, we have also installed lighting that changes in all sorts of colours.

New LED lights and pathways
We bought the LED lighting from Elvisning Esplanaden in Sundbyberg. The staff there are great and come up with lots of ideas. We bought some LED lights that were designed for 12 volts and therefore fit well in the motorhome. We also bought some LED loops that are designed for 220 volts, but are switched down to 12 volts for operation. We were able to cut the plug and transformer, leaving the colour-changing controls in place, and plug directly into 12 volts in the camper.
Installation of LED lights in the motorhome
We set up a number of LED lights just inside the entrance of the camper, and then we set up many metres of LED loops in different places. There was a lot of cabling, because we wanted it to look good, and we didn't want any cables to be visible.
We've made it so that we switch on all LED lights with one switch and all regular lights with another, so it's easy to manage. The only exception is the bedroom which has its own switch. You don't want to have to get up to switch off when it's time to sleep ...
LED loops and lights in the motorhome
We now have LED loops and LED lights everywhere in the motorhome. For example, we've put LED loops under the cabinets in the bedroom and LED lights just inside the entrance. The good thing about these is that you know you can switch them on without wasting electricity.
LED lighting in different colours
And why not make life a little more fun with some colour? The LED lights in the motorhome can be set to change between different colours - from green to red and blue.
