Yesterday we ended up at a campsite at Tättö Havsbad, in Loftahammar north of Västervik. We are not used to staying at a campsite, but sometimes it can be a good alternative. The campsite is very nice by the water and it can be nice sometimes to have access to electricity, showers and other services.

Prejudices about camping

When you're not used to living on a campsite, it's easy to have some prejudices about campsites confirmed. Why do you have to wear tracksuits and floppy slippers just because you're staying at a campsite? We've seen whole families of floppy slippers!

We have also walked among all the caravans and are extremely fascinated by all the huge tents, all the big wooden decks, all the flower beds (they must have taken time to grow?), all the fences and all the flags. This is a world of its own ...

Amazingly nice campsite

Otherwise, we must say that this campsite is fantastic! We have sat outside our motorhome in the evening and enjoyed the beautiful view. Then we went for a walk and watched the sunset.
