Yesterday we arrived in Valdemarsvik, south of Norrköping. According to a guidebook we have, there are three sites here with electricity. When we talked to the staff at the boat shop, it was possible to stand here overnight, but we didn't find any electricity ...
The motorway service area in Valdemarsvik
There should be parking spaces for motorhomes in Valdemarsvik harbour, but since we did not find any electric poles at the parking spaces, we are not entirely sure that we found exactly the right place. There were no other motorhomes here at the moment, and not really anyone to ask so to speak ... We simply chose to park in the harbour, and we were very happy with that parking. We thought we stood very nicely in the harbour with a view of all the boats.
At the site in Valdemarsvik there is also a service building with toilets and showers and it said that you could get the code at the Tourist Office ... which was closed. Maybe we were here a little too early in the season? Read more about the site at tourist centre website.
Rain, sun and film
It rained for several hours, but when it finally stopped the sun actually broke through. We managed to enjoy a beer in the sudden warmth and we also managed to go for a walk around the nice boat harbour. It is really a charming environment here with all the old nice houses and all the small boats!
When we got back into the motorhome and it was evening, we were eager to watch the film we had just bought. Since there was no electricity, we just had to switch on the generator. Hope we didn't disturb too much ...
Mr Carl Hamilton says:
hello
You should take a trip to Valdemarsvik, there has been little change since you were there in 2009.
My suggestion is that you book the trip at the end of May when the pandemic has hopefully subsided and the spring heat has arrived.

Yes, we realise that a lot has certainly happened! We will gladly come back, if we get the opportunity! 🙂
