Czechs go camping
Yes, the Czechs go camping! They have tents, rent cottages or cart around the most interesting versions of little rickety caravans from the 60s. A silver favourite was on our campsite yesterday, we've attached a picture of it!
Camping Konopiste
Yesterday we stayed at a campsite in Konopiste in Benesov, just south of Prague. It was a rather simple but quite ok campsite. The promised pool looks more like an outdoor bathtub, but otherwise it is an excellent campsite with staff who speak English.
Peter and I also managed to sneak away for a while during the day and have a Pilser Urquell and a good salad in a cosy restaurant in a park outside. Tomorrow we will try to get to the centre of Prague by local bus and metro. Since we heard from our friends in Sweden that a terrible storm is passing Poland right now, we will probably stay in the Czech Republic for a few days before continuing towards Poland ...
