Are motorhomes only for the elderly? If you look through the windscreen of some motorhomes, you can pretty quickly conclude that the average age of motorhome owners is relatively, how should we say, respectable... We think that all 60+ people who take the chance, now that the children have left home, to become nomads and see the world with a motorhome are cool and do the right thing. But ... are there no young people with motorhomes?
Are motorhomes only for the elderly?
Since getting a motorhome, we have realised that many motorhome owners are 60+. Nothing wrong with that! On the contrary, we would say! It is great that you take the opportunity to get a motorhome, travel around Europe, enjoy the sun and meet friends. It couldn't be better, could it? The only thing we wonder is whether motorhomes are only for older people, or whether there are also younger people who have realised how great it is to travel around in a motorhome?
Young people with a motorhome?
A few days ago, a thread was started on Husbilsklubben.se by a couple of 32 and 26 years old who had become new motorhome owners and cautiously wondered if there were any others of their age? Yes, they got a few answers ...
But come on! Will the kids fit better in the caravan? Do cars cost too much? Or have you simply not realised how nice it is to have a summer cottage with a new view every night? If there are any young motorhome enthusiasts out there, please let us know! (In the motorhome world you are a young person until about 55, and that alone is nice...).

We exist. 45 and 47. But caravan. Thinking about doing one or more long journeys as you have done. Curious about how you manage your finances, work and everyday life to be able to make these long journeys.

Hi Sisse! Glad to hear that you are thinking about long trips! 🙂 Yes, how do you balance finances, work and everyday life ...? Good question! Mostly we have actually travelled on holidays. In 2015 we took a full year of leave and travelled all year. We planned and prepared this for about 7 years 😉 We made sure to get rid of expenses (loans, subscriptions etc), saved and got some income during the year by renting out our home. Today we put a lot of work on our blog and can also get some income through it when we are travelling! Last summer I took a month's leave of absence and then we had some income through the blog.
