Can you travel through Russia by motorhome? We've been wanting to take our motorhome east to Russia for a long time. So we were very enthusiastic when we saw that the latest issue of Caravanbladet, the Caravan Club's member magazine, featured a report on a motorhome trip to Murmansk.
Travelling by motorhome through Russia
It would be really interesting to travel by motorhome through Russia. In Russia there are several interesting cities, such as Moscow and St Petersburg. Perhaps the most interesting thing would be to experience the countryside, villages and nature. However, the question is how it works to travel with a motorhome in a country like Russia, whether there are campsites and so on.
Security considerations
We have a lot of concerns about safety and where to stand at night and so on. But now it turned out that this trip consisted of as many as 19 caravans travelling together. And this puts the issue of safety in a completely different light ...
So we didn't really get answers to our questions. We also take the opportunity to ask if you know of anyone who has travelled east with their motorhome, to Russia or the surrounding countries?

Hi! What a nice blog you have, saw that you were in and looked at ours about the bike rental that was here yesterday. If it is ok, we link to your blog now from our camping blog, it would be fun if you linked to us too!
Have a nice trip

No trip through Russia yet? Trying to get a trip to the Pacific Ocean, exact itinerary is not clear but working on it, the dream is to Magadan otherwise to Vladivostok or Vanino tor. Possibly I keep it open, do you have any tips regarding visas and the like. Vehicles are leaning towards a minivan or station wagon to have a smooth and reasonably comfortable vehicle. The plan is 7 weeks of travel in other words a road trip of 2-2500 miles. Due to illness, there will probably be no summer 2017 (economy) but 2018.
