Husbilar på Elmia camping

On the way down to Nässjö and Jönköping we realised that we had forgotten ... the ticket to Elmia! How do you manage that? Fortunately, it was possible to solve it after a few phone calls to Elmia and after Peter's brother faxed a copy of the ticket from home ... We came down to Nässjö in the evening and spent the night in a car park in the city centre.

Live music and a visit to the caravan

On Friday I was on a course in Nässjö and when it was over we went towards ... Elmia Husvagn Husbil. We had heard that camping 2 would be crooked and uneven, but we got a really good place, next to a bunch of huge American motorhomes. They also sat outside all evening playing guitar and accordion, so we got some nice live music!

We only had time to park for a short while before we started getting visitors! First came a reporter from the magazine Husbilen Test and photographed our car! Then a couple from Köping came by that we have talked to here on the blog.

Then we went to the camping bar (at the other big campsite) and met some friends, who are exhibiting at Elmia with their company Ute-liv. We haven't had time to see much of the fair yet, but of course we will soon! The sun is shining and Peter has just been up on our roof (!) and taken some pictures of the area.

Walking around the campsite outside Elmia was almost as much fun as looking at the new motorhomes inside the fair. The camping area was mostly an undulating white sea, but there were also many special and personal motorhomes. Next to us were a bunch of large American motorhomes. The finest of them was probably this one. We had to go in and look and it really became a huge area inside when the side walls were out.

Another special car was this red house bus. When it was getting cold outside in the evening, you could see the smoke puffing out of the chimney. Then they would sit inside and make a fire in their fireplace ...
