One thing we've talked about a lot is motorhome safety. How crashworthy is a motorhome really? Passenger cars are often marketed with arguments like "world-class safety". But do you ever hear that kind of sales pitch about motorhomes?
Nobody talks about security
When it comes to motorhomes, you often hear salespeople talk about "corner kitchens", "practical storage" and "nice lighting in the display cabinet"? But how often do they talk about how safe or crashworthy the motorhome is?
Sure, the motorhome is a small house, but it's also a car. To be honest, the "shell" of the body feels rather thin ... How crash-proof is a motorhome really? Should we place higher demands on manufacturers? What do you reckon?
Veiken says:
I don't know much about motorhomes, but I have a feeling there should be some safety pressure on manufacturers!

Mr Nils-Åhe Hansson says:
Thinking back on the WW bus. We met a lorry coming over on the wrong side at high speed. I tried to get away but the lorry hit the side of the bus. Cut the side up like a tin can. One of the children was sitting on that side it was the inner disc that pushed her into the car so she was not injured. Certainly you think about it many times.

Nils-Åke, what a terrible experience! It's just the kind of thing you can be afraid of sometimes... Good to hear that you were lucky in the accident after all.
Of course, I don't think you should go around being afraid of things that COULD happen, that would make your life unnecessarily difficult. But surely one could expect similar safety considerations for motorhomes as for cars...?

Mr Peter Olofsson says:
What happens in the event of an accident, you don't want to think about, the passengers in the cabin are probably best off and in the cases where the body itself is damaged as I have seen in Europe, the danger of being injured by parts that peel off in a crash/offset crash is probably the worst, sharp aliminuim edges etc!
I've been in here but haven't written for a while, I'll get better at it I promise!
Yes, really nice pictures! Just as usual when I'm in your house!
Today I feel that the "power" is returning, maybe the snow and sunlight are doing their part!
I have friends and acquaintances who have now left the country for the sun!
So today when I read this morning's Svenska Dagblad, I see an article about men being bad at "applying sunscreen"!
Of course, it has to be today's debate topic on the Oumberliga Blog, of course with some artistic overtones (smiles) Hmm..... yes, they are there, but are perhaps a bit far-fetched, currently trying to find back to the Oumberliga Blog's original idea, art, design and exciting antique gadgets..... have not succeeded yet but are well on their way so now I will spend my day visiting both old and new friends and hear about the lubrication habits in the family! Wondering if it's the same with you as with us, that it's the woman in the house who forces the man to lubricate himself during noisy root tests, maybe it's me who's rowdy!
Does God exist, is black pudding really good, shouldn't Mona Sahlin stop smoking, what is art, I don't have any answers myself, I'm just an ordinary person with a lot of questions?
Have a great week!
Hugs from Oumberlige or was it Impossible Peter!
PS: Got a bit weird there anyway, what do sunbathing habits have to do with art?
Maybe you have the answer, what do I know?
But if it has nothing to do with art, it is at least "social" on all levels and that's what blogging is all about, isn't it? There were many annoying question marks! (smiles) DS
