Today, Expressen thinks you should "dare to go winter camping". There are 160 campsites in Sweden that are open all year round and some of them are located at attractive ski resorts. Kläppen's 196 (!) camping pitches are already fully booked for the sports holidays, but in Duved there are still some vacancies.
Have you tried winter camping?
Right now we are so tired of snow and winter, so winter camping doesn't really appeal to us. But we can imagine that it is cosy to crawl into the motorhome from the cold outside! We like skiing and it's great to be in the mountains on a sunny winter day, so why not?
Of course, it's important to have a motorhome that can withstand the cold, and to organise yourself so that you can manage all your skiing equipment. Yes, we can imagine that it can be cosy! Have you been winter camping? What do you think? What are the pluses and minuses?

My Neapolitan boyfriend asked me yesterday if we should not camp the next time we go to Lapland on a "skooter safari" instead of staying in a cabin... * laughter * Considering that my relatives dress him in clothes that they usually wear at -30 degrees and we usually go every year after Easter when it is significantly warmer and he still thinks it is cold, I thought it was a bit fun.

We have been winter camping in Tandådalen for several years, both as seasonal campers and going up for a few weeks/periods. It is absolutely perfect if you have children. We are members of the Caravan Club and their campsite in Tandådalen is perfectly located by the slopes. It is also close to shops, restaurants, etc., all within walking distance of the campsite. The slopes cannot be compared to the slopes in the Alps, but they are fully adequate.
Greetings Anders and Birgitta

By the way, glad you're a member of LifeGene! What did you get to do when you were there on the visit? Run on a treadmill? And it's great you get to share your own results, otherwise I probably would not have participated, I think.
