Now camping comes with all-inclusive. I don't understand it at all... I don't like all-inclusive in hotels, so why would I want it in a campsite? We got a motorhome for the freedom to go wherever we want and to get a new view every day. Not to have "everything" within a fence.
Five-star camping resorts
In an article in Göteborgsposten, Johan F Lundberg, business manager at Svenska mässan, says that we will see more four- and five-star camping resorts with all-inclusive facilities. He compares it to Germany where there are places that cost 1000 SEK/night per person and where, for example, food is included.
Do you need all-inclusive camping?
But why should food be included? You have a kitchen in your motorhome precisely because you want to be able to prepare food. Isn't the charm of camping just that it should be a little simpler, and perhaps close to nature? Or what do you think? Do you want all-inclusive camping, just like a hotel?
Anders and Birgitta says:
No, it's not for us! If you want cooked food, it's fun to try the local restaurants. But we think it's just as fun to shop locally and prepare the food ourselves. Perhaps it would suit those who tent, but then again, it's doubtful if they are prepared to pay so much money. No, let's have more simple places, camping sites, where we can live the mobile life by easily moving from place to place.

No, not at all. The freedom and all the great options that camping offers should not be destroyed. I wonder if it will be popular? Maybe for the retiree who still wants a new view every day, but at the same time no longer has the energy to fix and fiddle with all the practicalities? Oh well, nothing for me. 🙂

Ninny says:
No not on campsites I think, then I think like you that you want the freedom, take the day as it comes - cook your food ... sit outside and grill a little, etc.
If you want all the luxury, you'll probably stay in an all-inclusive hotel, right?
I think so, but we are all different, so...
Have a nice weekend!

No, I don't. Then you can stay in a hotel, I think.
But I do find it cosy to go for a morning walk and buy fresh rolls for breakfast if available.
But Breakfast in the motorhome is always a bit special and soooo cosy.
And I'm really looking forward to getting out now.
We usually go winter camping but this winter we haven't had to look forward to snow because we've had so much here anyway.
Glad you found my Blog!
Have a nice weekend!
Hugs!

Very strange, but there are people for everything. Can only think that if you want all-inclusive, you can stay at a hotel instead ...

Leena says:
We don't take in camping, so it wouldn't appeal to us.
That's what's so cosy about going to different shops and shopping, especially for things you have no idea what they are.
If we don't manage to fix something in the car then we go out to eat, we usually take the day as it comes.

Catherine says:
No, that doesn't sound appealing at all!

Mr Mikael Grönlund says:
Personally, I would never think of staying at an all-inclusive campsite, but I almost always prefer not to stay at campsites. All the customers who have rented a motorhome from us in previous years have chosen to "free camp" or have stayed on pitches while travelling.
If I'm willing to pay £1,000 per night, I'll stay in a hotel.
