Now we are in Trosa guest harbour. We did not have time to prepare much before we left. We filled up with diesel, LPG and water at a petrol station on the way. When we arrived, we had to start the water and get some heat in the car ... In any case, it's great to finally be out with the motorhome again!

Easter-friendly motorhomes
The other motorhomes that are here are freshly washed and nice. (And some have even decorated for Easter!) Our Freedom is very dirty and would really need to be washed. But it is probably easier if you live in a villa and can have the motorhome in the yard, with access to water. We live in an apartment and have the motorhome parked a good distance away, without water ... Where is it easiest to wash the motorhome? Any tips?
Cool but sunny
It's a bit chilly in the air, but nice and sunny! Here our nice motorhome neighbours are sitting outside enjoying the spring sun.
Easter Eve in Trosa guest harbour
Our nice motorhome neighbours from Haninge suggested an Easter lunch together on Easter Eve. Great initiative, and it was the first outdoor meal of the spring.
It was sunny and really nice and we moved out on the dock for a while, before we moved in and got to visit their cosy Dethleffs. Wishing a continued nice Easter weekend!
Action Mobil in Trosa
Those of you who follow the blog know that we want (and dream of building) an Action mobile. They are not common and we thought the chance of seeing one in Sweden was minimal. And then suddenly one rolls by as we sit in the guest harbour in Trosa!
The car was parked a bit far away and we rushed there, but unfortunately we missed the owners. At least we got to see a car like this for real. And now we are even more sure: we want one of these! Isn't it cool?
Film about Action Mobile
Watch this film! These cars can go anywhere. At the same time, they're decorated like a modern campervan with fresh kitchens and bathrooms. We want one of these! But since they are so expensive, we might have to build one ourselves...

I know, people should appreciate Sweden a bit more. There it doesn't matter if you don't have much money, free schools and free healthcare. Down here, everything is great if you're rich, but 70% of the population, or more, is unfortunately not...

Seems really fun with a motorhome ... Can understand the charm of just going away for a weekend.
But if it tastes good, it costs.
Visited a friend who has bought a second-hand motorhome, only a few years old, and he paid half a mile for it.
Not as big as yours, I think? He had four beds.
And then there is the matter of tax and insurance, which also costs a lot.
I'll have to settle for the little cottage in the deep woods.
and our house here...

Happy Easter we wish you in Trosa, where we have been both by car and boat many times. A very cosy little town

Thank you for all the Easter greetings!
Rondine, you're right. Motorhomes are not cheap. We also bought ours second-hand, but they cost a lot anyway, as you've noticed. We have four fixed beds in ours. It's also possible to convert the dining area into two more beds, but you can only take four people in the car, so it's only for four....
The main economic advantage of a motorhome is that you can live a little cheaper when travelling. You can cook in your car instead of eating in expensive restaurants, hitchhiking or staying in cheap car parks, etc. Cars also don't depreciate much (not at all like a car), so if you sell it after a few years, you'll still get quite a lot for it.

In many parts of the world, there is simply not enough water to waste on car washing. Therefore, products have been developed that are used without water.
In Sweden there is at least one supplier, Eco Shine.
http://ecoshine.se/
This is completely unknown to the average Swede, but it is possible to find information on foreign motorhome forums. I myself have no experience with these products but it could be excellent to have with you when travelling. Or for those like you who live in a flat and cannot wash at home on the driveway.

Henrik, interesting product! Have never heard of that before! Can definitely be useful sometimes when you can't access water. However, I wonder if it works on our car, we do not have paint but plastic conversion on the outside ...
Normally, however, I would like to find a car wash that is higher than three metres, there must be one somewhere...????
