How do you store wine bottles in your motorhome/caravan? In a motorhome or caravan, the wine bottles have to be stationary when driving. This adds another dimension to the question of how to store them.
Perfect solution for storing wine
Nathalie, who has the blog A girl, a dog, a caravan, thought about this and posted the question on a camping forum. One of the suggestions she received was "Drink from the bottles and buy wine in tetra packs". Well, that's and possibility ... But bottled wine is actually very nice!
We think we've found the perfect storage in the shelves just inside the door. We put the bottles close together with a napkin in between so they don't clink. How do you do it?
Mr Jonas says:
It doesn't matter that there are few bottles. It's as much fun to fill up as it is to empty.

the camper van says:
In our car there is a cupboard for bottles, "double floors" with holes for bottles in the upper one. If the roads are very bumpy, there may be a bit of a clatter anyway, but they stand upright. /Monica

Katarina in the Philippines says:
Ha, ha... you want the bottles to be whole when you're there to enjoy the food, wine and the carriage!
My friend has a boat, she cools the wine after the boat before drinking it, but I don't know how she stores the wine bottles in the boat... I got curious now,,, will check.
Will there be rafting this summer and if so, where?

Hi Helena
I find this girl's writing very funny, but I wanted to send a comment but I can't. What profile should I choose?

Jonas, we can agree with that! Both loading and unloading are nice.
🙂
The motorhome, a wine cabinet like that seems handy! And maybe stylish?
Katarina, interesting comparison with the boat! However, we can't use the same method for cooling...
😉
It will almost certainly be rafting. I have checked out some different companies that seem ok, one of them is in Vindelälven I think. We haven't booked yet, but that's mostly because we don't have enough control over the schedule yet....
Kersti, sometimes I also get problems when commenting on blogs, but it hasn't happened on this one... I've probably commented with the profile "name/web address" but it should work with others too...

Annelie, glad you found this site! And what fun that you want to get a motorhome! Really quite the right idea, we say, of course...
🙂
Unfortunately, motorhomes are not free. But the day you get the chance, you should take it! We bought ours on Blocket by the way, it's a good tip if you want to get at least a little more for your money!

Ama de casa says:
We have them in the trunk of the car, also with "anti-rattle material" in between. We have the tent in the roof box 🙂.
sv: When I worked at Skansen, we had names for almost all the food in the freezer. Gusten the wild boar, for example. He didn't fit into a zoo because he killed his babies. Not very audience-friendly.
I don't mind knowing the name of my food, then I know that at least they were fine until they were killed.
We had to buy the meat. But not all the keepers were willing...

We have our wine in the big garage, fixed to a plastic where 2 wine bottles can stand safely.
Since our other drink bottles actually fit in the cupboard by the controls for the gas, stove & heater.
I think it is very important to have order, both at home and at work.
Not much space needed, depends on how you pack. Thank goodness for 1 large garage when it's time to leave.
But we have no barbecue - the worst thing we know. Then, unfortunately, you still get the smell from the neighbours.
Instead, we have chairs & tables, leg racks and miscellaneous items from water jugs to awning cranks.
