Now we have left Umeå and made our way to Höga kusten and Gullviks havsbad and camping. We needed to refuel on the way, but it took a long time before we found a petrol station. And then finally it appeared ... the petrol station that God forgot. Only then did we find our way to Gullvik's seaside resort and campsite.
Table of contents
The pub that God forgot
The petrol station that God forgot is in Husum, in case anyone is wondering. We had no idea that there were petrol stations like this in Sweden ... The place looked almost abandoned and we first wondered if the petrol station was closed, but it was not. No, it was fine to refuel here! After filling up with diesel in Freedom, we rolled on.
Gullvik sea baths on the High Coast
Now we are at Gullvik sea bathing and camping, just south of Örnsköldsvik. This is a really nice campsite with a sea bath, sandy beach and jetty. It also offers boat trips to the island of Ulvön. But right now it is unfortunately cold and rainy, so this type of activity is not really appealing.
Billie really wants to fish, so we would need something other than a sandy beach... Anyone have a suggestion for a good fishing camp south of us?
Evening at Gullvik sea baths
Finally, evening falls over the campsite and it's time to have a barbecue, eat dinner and maybe play some games together. It is beautiful outside and we put on warm clothes and sit outside as long as possible. Warm greetings to everyone following our journey!

Hello!
Have followed your blog for a while, fun:) We were just in Germany, and then thought to get a question to you, but it did not happen. What we wondered was how you fixed the internet when you were in Poland, or in other countries. We bought a vodaphone stick and surfed at the prices that applied in Germany. So we had wireless internet all the time. Worked well, but slightly more expensive than comviq surf in Sweden. We assume that you have to buy a local wireless modem in each country to be able to surf cheaply? Is this correct? Then we wonder if you are satisfied with your solar collector? Do you think it was worth the money?
Greetings Susanne and Noam from Sala.

Susanne, glad you are following our blog! We have brought a laptop and we use WIFI (wireless internet) on campsites. A lot of campsites offer this for free or for a small fee. If not, we check if there are hotspots (wireless networks nearby) that you can surf to, or we look for an internet café.
In countries such as Poland, you'll mostly be staying at campsites, so this works well. If you're free camping or mostly staying in caravan parks, it can be a good option to buy local SIM cards in each country. However, it's a bit tricky if you're travelling in many countries, and in some countries it's more difficult to get... (we couldn't get it in Austria, for example).
As for the solar panel, it seems good, but we haven't had time to explore it properly yet. When we park the car, we always have a full battery when we come back (and that was not the case before) so it seems very good. This summer, however, we have mostly stayed at campsites, as we travelled in Eastern Europe where this is appropriate and also travelled with teenagers who use a lot of electricity constantly... The real tests of the solar panel will come a little later when Peter and I go out on weekends and free camp. We'll report back on that then!
Katarina, thanks for the tip! We'll check online and see if we can find more fishing camps as well. Fun with the Freedom boat! We would love to see the photo! do you have the opportunity to send or show?

Maxiander, our motorhome runs on diesel and consumes about 1.1 litres/mile if you drive at 100 km/h. If you drive faster, it consumes more.
