Now we are heading north in the motorhome! We have left Idre and are heading towards Vindelälven, where we will try rafting. The distance doesn't look too long on the map, but when there are narrow winding gravel roads and you have to stop for reindeer, it takes time.
Plenty of reindeer
After several days in Idre, it was time to roll further north on our journey through northern Sweden. We can say that we have seen many reindeer along the way, especially around Idre. At the campsite at Idre fjäll, they walked between caravans and cabins without any worries. Maybe it's quite normal up here, but it felt a bit exotic for us Stockholmers!
Camping in Ytterhogdal
Last night we stayed at a small simple campsite in Ytterhogdal. The feeling here is that you are standing in someone's big garden - toilets and showers are in some of the houses on the site. We sat outside and grilled sausages until we got tired of the mosquitoes and went inside to play cards instead.
This may not be a long stay campsite, but it was a great stop on our journey north. So, now we're off to the rafting. Hope you can keep up!

the camper van says:
Good thing you are leaving the mountains because the weather report promised "possible snow in the mountains" down here on the coast it would be sunny. Right now we have thunder, rain and wind.
