There will be a motorhome campsite in Söder, Stockholm, where Tantogården was located. It will only be temporary, but in the meantime it could be a good complement to the Långholmen motorhome campsite.
Lack of pitches and motorhome campsites
According to Anders Edlund, marketing manager for the City of Stockholm's parking company, there is a major shortage of motorhome parking in the summer. "We can agree that there is a major shortage of pitches and motorhome campsites in many parts of Sweden, not least in Stockholm.
Another central motorhome campsite
There will be another central motorhome campsite in Stockholm. We have previously written about Långholmen motorhome campsite, which we have visited ourselves. Really good that we get another one, as of course many motorhomes come to Stockholm in the summer! Source: Swedish Radio
Update: On husbilstockholm.se you can now find more information about the motorhome campsites at Långholmen and Tantolunden.

There's lots of exciting reading here for those of us who have just ordered a motorhome!
A motorhome campsite in the south is great, I'm glad to read 🙂 .
Greetings Carina

That would be great, but why only temporary? Why can't a capital city organise a permanent site for motorhomes?

Carina, glad you found your way here and glad you ordered a motorhome! Is it your first motorhome or have you had a motorhome before?
Anders and Birgitta, yes, one might wonder... Apparently houses will be built there later, but why not prioritise a motorhome site when there is obviously a need? The one on Långholmen exists, but it closes very early in the autumn, when the boats are taken up...?

Me again 🙂
We have had a caravan for five years before but this will be our first motorhome! Have winter camped before getting tired and "suddenly" it became free to get a motorhome instead! Your motorhome looks really cool with your own design, really stands out from the crowd!
Have lots to read in here, fun when you have the same kind too 🙂 .
We haven't got a date yet except that it will be in April sometime. We had first ordered a grey but would then have to wait another whole month. Instead, it became a white but now we are in the choice and qualification if it might be worth waiting an extra month anyway, is a little eager too of course 🙂

Hello to you! Thanks for the comment, so you are from Skåne? Fun! I have been in Skåne since I met my husband -80 about it is more hilly than I thought. Now it feels like a summer without a week in Skåne "not good" Kram

Too bad they don't think about those who want to go to STHM in the winter. Then everything is boarded up, unfortunately. We stayed with our little old camper several times in the car park on Södermalm for lack of better. Quite cosy actually, walking distance to the old town and free at the weekend -:)

Hello!
I promised to come back with some tips about Budapest!
You will probably do what "everyone else" does, but one tip is to go to Riverride.
We had a day that was really cold and it was drizzling. We took the opportunity to ride the tram for a whole day! Got off where it looked nice and looked around there. When we were satisfied with that, we got on the tram and continued according to the "plan".
We've probably seen more of Budapest than most people 😉.
Enjoy!

Carina, it's great that it's a motorhome now and we can say that we are super happy with our Adria! We think it's fun that there are some new colours and grey sounds nice. It is difficult to say how to choose, but when you spend so much money anyway, we would probably rather wait and get exactly what we want. But of course we can understand that you are a little impatient too.
😉
Ingela, yes, I am from Skåne, but it is about 20 years since I moved from there. So I don't go to Skåne very often. Last summer we passed through on our way to and from Poland and took the opportunity to visit a childhood friend.
Kerstin, can agree with that. Långholmen closes very early in the season. Then you can stand in car parks relatively often, if the motorhome is not too big. But after a few days you will need some service... There is a winter open campsite, e.g. Ängby camping in Bromma. But it is of course not as central.
Veiken, thank you very much for the tip! I will look at the link and investigate it there.
