Chicken all-in-one! This chicken dish fulfils most requirements: simple, tasty, festive, healthy and cheap. However, it does require some time in the oven, so it's perfect for the weekend. The recipe was originally found in the book "Under the Walnut Tree", but perhaps modified slightly. Really good with a feta cheese scramble.

Ingredients for the chicken dish
Here's a list of what you need to cook chicken all-in-one.
- Large chicken drumsticks (frozen or fresh)
- Root vegetables, such as potatoes and carrots
- Vegetables, such as peppers, zucchini and red onions.
- Salt
- Pepper
- Herbs and spices
- Olive oil
Make the chicken dish like this
Grease a baking dish with oil. Lay out large chicken drumsticks (frozen or fresh). Cut up large pieces of vegetables (such as potatoes, carrots, peppers, courgettes, red onions) and place them on the tray along with whole garlic and black olives. Salt, pepper, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with herbs. Place in the oven for about 40-50 minutes.
Ingredients for feta cheese bread
- A packet of feta cheese (regular or light)
- A jar of crème fraiche (regular or light)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Herbs and spices (fresh or dried)
Make the feta cheese mixture as follows
Mash a packet of feta cheese (light is fine) with a fork. Mix with a jar of light crème fraiche. Add salt, pepper and herbs (fresh or dried).

Nikita, we usually have the oven at about 225 degrees. It can probably take a little different time in different ovens, so you have to check a little too ...
