Now we have tried quad biking in Morocco. We booked a quad bike tour yesterday and got to go to Palmerie, an area just outside Marrakech. We booked the tour on site in Marrakech, in one of all the small shops that sell excursions, and were picked up by car at the square when it was time. It was a really cool tour with a lot going on!
Awesome quad bike ride in Morocco
After the car journey out of Marrakech, we were dropped off at a farm with motorised vehicles and dromedaries. We could leave bags and other things we didn't need in the house and we were given protective clothing and helmets. Billie of course wanted to drive her own quad bike, but I (Helena) was quite happy to ride behind Peter. As soon as we settled in, we were given instructions and everyone got to try out the controls and steering functions. I took the opportunity to take a photo. On the tour itself, it was difficult to photograph ...
That was us and an English mum and her sons were on the same tour. Then we set off on quad bikes in Morocco! We travelled on roads, through Berber villages and in areas that looked like semi-desert, with gravel and occasional vegetation. It went fast and the mud sprayed in all directions. Really fun ride with hills, pits, mud and many waving children.
Finally time for quad bikes
We have ridden quad bikes before and it has always been very slow in a row. Here it was full speed and all different terrain and now it was as it should be. Huge fun and we were out for two hours and it was worth every penny.
More things to do in one place
The place that rented out quad bikes also had other types of motor vehicles. In addition, there was a stable with dromedaries, so those who had wanted to could certainly have gone on a tour with dromedaries instead. It was probably stupid not to book both and take everything as a full-day excursion, when you are still in place.

Leena, thank you! You don't really think about the fact that it's Christmas here. But we are doing well! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Eva, that sounds really cold! Sometimes when the sun shines here it is so warm that you can wear a T-shirt. But sometimes it's cold and you need a jacket... but not by Swedish standards of course... Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
