We have arrived at the Hotel President, our hotel in Budapest. We must say that we are already enjoying ourselves after a few hours, both in the huge luxurious hotel room and in the snowy city. We have been out for a while and had a soup and a beer and started planning for New Year's Eve.

Large room at Hotel President
The reception of the Hotel President in Budapest felt fresh and worthy of a good hotel. Still, we were almost shocked when we stepped into the hotel room at Hotel President. Wow, how big! We have not deliberately booked an extra large room, and yet it was huge. Admittedly, there are sloping ceilings, so if you count the ceiling height, it may not be so big, but still!
In the room there are our beds, a sofa group that seems to be stretched out, a desk and a wardrobe. When Peter is at the other end of the room, I feel like I have to shout loudly for him to hear what I'm saying. We don't usually live this luxuriously and that makes it extra nice. This is worth the money because we paid for a small room in a standard hotel in Sweden.
Large bathroom
The bathroom in our room at the Hotel President is also huge. There is a bathtub, which is nice, two sinks and a ... sofa! I don't think I've ever seen a sofa in a bathroom before... We haven't inaugurated the sofa, but Peter has inaugurated the bathtub. I'm pretty sure he's enjoying himself! With a whiskey in your hand and to luxuriate in a nice apartment, life feels great.
Spa with pools
Hotel President is a spa hotel and on the lower floor there are several different pools. We have been down there today and it looks really nice. We ran up and changed and it was as good as it looks and we were almost alone. This is really nicely done and it's class at our spa.

Some contrast between Marakech and Budapest. Both cities are fascinating but in very different ways. Take the opportunity to bathe in the hot springs. It's so nice to do it outdoors, when it's cold and preferably if it's snowing.
Have a great time and a Happy New Year!
