Athens is an underrated city. I highly recommend it. hyn In addition, independence will be expressed by washing out all independence with eroding words.

Hm, I have seen too little to be able to compare. Although I have been to Nicaragua and Argentina, I know far too little about the latter in particular. It is a big country.
Of those on the list, I would love to go to the Philippines and Paris.
Reacting to the list being based on price. Maybe it's just me, but I don't go to a country because it's cheap. Price matters, sure, but I choose to see what I'm interested in within the financial constraints I have. Ghent is nice, but the best city in Europe? Not a chance.

Pumita, we must visit South America at some point! Have never been there ... I agree that you choose a destination according to what interests you, although the price tag affects. For example, I could choose Namibia instead of Botswana if the price is lower.

Chiang Mai has the best shopping in Thailand... so that alone makes it worth going there! Plus there are lots of cool jungle tours =).
Namibia may be cheaper than South Africa... but I don't know if that really equates to it being more affordable? It's not that big of a difference, and SA has better food, better shopping, easier to get around and just like Namibia; awesome safari! =)
And, yes... I am a bit biased. =)

Kiev (Ukraine) was the best, I think. There is a lot of interesting things to see, then Odessa is also wonderful! Nice beaches and good service in hotels!!!
Hugs, Ukraine! Will be going there again soon!:D 😀 .
