Chèvre chaud - what a fantastic and perfect starter! It's the weekend now and you have a little more time to experiment in the kitchen. Yesterday we made a (for us) new starter, which turned out really, really good: goat cheese au gratin on a bed of salad. If you haven't made it before, try this!
You will need
You need one slice of toast, one slice of chèvre, rocket salad, red onion, some cherry tomatoes, walnuts, liquid honey, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Pretty simple though, right?
Do the following
Butter the bread slices and place them on a baking tray. Place a slice of chèvre on each slice of bread and drizzle with honey. Place the oven on the grill and cook on the highest setting for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is nicely coloured. Serve with an arugula salad, chopped red onion, a few cherry tomato halves and chopped walnuts. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad. Voila!

Yummy filibaba! Good with roasted pine nuts if you don't have walnuts...
