This is the last post in our little "series" about our motorhome and what we have rebuilt. The post is about safety in the motorhome. Of course, you are afraid of both the motorhome and all the stuff you store in it. This is what we have done to protect ourselves (as much as possible) against robbery, theft and fire. Do you have any other good tips?
Alarm in the motorhome
We have installed two different alarms in the motorhome: a door alarm and a motion alarm. In this way, we hope that it will be a little more difficult to break into the motorhome.
Safe in the motorhome
We have installed a safes which is bolted on, so if someone wants to remove it, they'll probably have to saw it off in the motorhome. The safe is good for storing things like passports and ferry tickets.
Fire extinguisher in the motorhome
We've fitted a fire extinguisher just behind the front passenger seat. You hope you'll never have to use it, but it feels quite nice to have.
Krister in Beijing says:
I'm impressed that you're able to do so much work, but I guess the work is actually a pleasure in itself.
It's a nice feeling if you make a nice installation, even if you may sometimes overwork just for the feeling that you've done a good job.
Nice little remodelling series. 😉
