Then it was time to experience Strängnäs by motorhome! After work yesterday, we rolled with Freedom towards Strängnäs, where we have spent the night. There is a good parking space here by the water, although the service does not open until 1 May. The sun is shining, but we wonder where the famous heat has gone?
Pitches in Strängnäs guest harbour
In Västerviken in the centre of Strängnäs is the city's guest harbour, with around 50 berths. In the summer it is certainly lively here with boats, full of people and open ice cream parlours. You don't get that atmosphere in April, of course, but it's still nice here in the guest harbour.
In addition to the moorings, there are 13 pitches for motorhomes, with electricity. The pitches are on asphalt and are located right by the harbour, so you have a nice view of the water. During the summer season there is also a service centre with toilets and showers. Unfortunately, it is not open now in April. You can read more about the guest harbour and the caravan park at Website of the guest harbour.
In Strängnäs by campervan
We went for a walk through Strängnäs yesterday. There are a lot of charming alleys and nice old houses. Not so strange perhaps, considering that this is a city with a long history!
For our part, it was then a quiet and pleasant evening in the motorhome with good food, some wine and a good book. When you have worked a lot, it is perfect relaxation to get out with the motorhome over the weekend. Then you really disconnect from work! Today we drive on to meet friends in Arboga.

It looked really clean and tidy. The heat is over Småland, we have been sitting out in the garden since breakfast today.
Have a Happy Easter!

Yes, the caravan park in Strängnäs is well located, unfortunately we encountered some messy young people when we were last there. They messed up a bit for us, started rocking the motorhome so we were woken up in the middle of the night and the power was pulled out. Are therefore a little sceptical to stand there again, but it was in the middle of summer and it may be quieter there this time of year.

Anders and Birgitta, oops! We can imagine this because we have been in Strängnäs before when it was a bit busy at night. But now when we were there it was quiet.
