When we bought our apartment, 6 years ago, we demolished everything except the load-bearing wall. Even the floor and ceiling went out. The renovation was a huge job, which was not helped by the fact that we chose an old style with stucco and thick mouldings ...
Time to paint again
When we painted the first time, time was short and in some places the mouldings were only primed. In other places we finished, but the colour has still deteriorated over time. So now it's time to improve!
Of course, we want a fresh and nice apartment. In addition, the apartment must be in good condition on the day we sell the apartment, in order to travel with the motorhome. Here you can see pictures of the construction and the renovated apartment:
Matts Torebring says:
As beautiful and elegant with all the decorations and mouldings as when we were in Riga almost a couple of years ago and stayed in an elegant hotel.

I know exactly how it is. I have remodelled several apartments and houses. And some things just don't get finished. Until it's time to move again. So, it's good that you're already painting now 😉 .

What a job you have done! What a job you're doing! So beautiful! Sometimes you never finish, there is a lot to fix and improve, but maybe that's the charm.

Have looked at both the "construction" and the finished apartment and you really have a nice apartment. Remember when we ourselves rebuilt in the house when we moved here, the only thing left besides a wall was the toilet seat, the sink and the stove on a cord. It's now over 20 years ago so it's time again but we don't know if we have the energy for it because it's a huge job to renovate.

Matts, we love this kind of old mouldings and decorations, and Peter has often found inspiration in such places!
Bobo, no, if you don't do it all at once, it's hard to get it done... But now we've started, so let's get on with it!
Katarina, yes, it has been a lot of work... and there are always things to fix. Nevertheless, we have chosen to live in an apartment and not a house, just to avoid too much work... Peter builds at work, so you don't always want to build in your spare time too...
The motorhome, please! Yes, it is a huge job to renovate. And sometimes quite stressful to live in the middle of it... We have had periods without both kitchen and bathroom... Fortunately, it's smaller things we do now, like painting mouldings. So it's possible to take it a little at a time, and without it being so difficult to live in.
