We have now driven the motorhome to Malmköping's campsite. This is a classic caravan campsite: white caravans in tight rows, colourful awnings, wooden decking, flower pots, dogs and floppy slippers. This is a very nice campsite with a perfect location by the lake, even if we feel like we're in the middle of nowhere. little like a cat among stoats.
But motorhome at Malmköping campsite
On Saturday morning I gave a lecture at Hjälmaregården, where we also had our motorhome. It was an association that asked me to lecture, and we chose to combine work with pleasure and at the same time take a relaxing motorhome weekend.
At Hjälmaregården there was construction going on, so to avoid the hammer blows we decided to move on. And that's how we ended up here, at Malmköpings camping.
This is a big and really nice campsite with grass pitches, close to a swimming area and nice, well-maintained service centres. There is even a restaurant and a shop, and it seems that many people come here to spend several weeks of holiday here, at least. It takes time to set up all those tents, outdoor furniture and flower pots, so to speak.
Cat among the stoats
When Jack showed us to our spot on his quad bike, he took the opportunity to introduce us to a neighbour "who has been sitting there reading a newspaper for the last twenty years". We feel a bit like a cat among the stoats! but are still very happy. The weather is fantastic and we have taken the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the sun all day, before it was time for dinner. Not bad with a real piece of meat, potato gratin and broccoli!

In 1976 we last stayed at Malmköpings Camping, travelling with "Car of the Year Simca 1508" and a borrowed caravan. Nowadays, I feel so trapped on a campsite and look for good car parks, rest areas or pitches.

Matts, that was a few years ago... Sometimes we also prefer rest areas, parking spaces and car parks. Other times, we find it good to know that we have access to both nature and electricity at the same time...
