Looking for a proper American motorhome? Then head to American Motorhomes in Norsholm, outside Norrköping. Here you can see large American motorhomes, as big as buses and often with so-called "slide-outs" that can increase the width when standing still.
American Motorhomes
American Motorhoms VD Peter Gröndahl has already sold American motorhomes through Scanxpo, but now has a new partnership with Stingray RV in England, and is opening at a new address.
American Motorhomes has the widest range of American motorhomes in Europe, and the Swedish store will have a permanent stock of RVs for both sale and hire.

Wow, what a big car! In Florida, more and more people are said to have moved out to their mobile homes in the special areas set aside for these behemoths, having been unable to keep their homes due to the crisis.
It would be nice to have a look inside such a "ship".
Goodbye!

Yes, you would have one of these when standing still at a campsite/caravan park, but I wouldn't want to drive around with it.

They look cool but I wonder if there is not a lot of "flavour". Can they survive in a winter climate, for example? What happens to the slideouts in winter?

Hello.
Have for 1 year lived permanently in 2 different buses I rented. This is partly due to the tricky and expensive property market in Canada, Toronto.
Toronto is wonderful in the summer but oh so cold and snowy in the winter.
The buses have worked very well despite the cold. Heated tanks, aquahot system keeps the heat gallantly, has worked well for me.
Did anyone write "smack"? No, absolutely not. This is high quality and solid construction. Slieouts also work, about as well as your regular car door in snow. You simply lubricate the mouldings and keep the top of the slide as snow-free as possible and there are no problems.
live well

Sure, it would be nice to have some space. On the other hand, there must be a lot of restrictions on where you can go. I am thinking both of the summer roads in Poland but also of what it was like in Croatia.
Norsholm is close to us, so we have to take a look and dream. Thanks for the tip! Bye!

No problem to survive winters in Sweden when living in quality from the country overthere (American house buses) But that does not apply to these buses, again, here we are talking about
quality and we fully agree... Canada"

What fun to read the discussion, and especially the posts from those of you who have American buses! Really interesting to hear your experiences, not least about how the buses withstand the Swedish winter climate!
We think the American motorhomes are very nice, and have sometimes been a little hungry. However, we have found that they seem too big for travelling in southern Europe (sometimes it feels like the Freedom is on your head). But of course it all depends on the purpose and area of use.

Check out Monaco's Vesta it's not that big and still has slideouts, on the other hand if you can drive a bus there are tourist buses even in more southern parts of Europe and if they arrive, we arrive and we go in 40 feet.
