We are home after 5 and a half weeks in Europe. It's hard to collect the impressions... We have visited six countries this summer (two of which were new to us) and one way to summarise the trip is to briefly describe our feeling from each country. Here you go!
Table of contents
1) Poland
We have been in Poland before and it is a country we like very much. This time the visit was short, only two ferry crossings. But it is nice when you feel that you get a lot for your money! The food is simple, cheap, rustic and always good.
2. Germany
More than the Autobahn. Sometimes it feels Germany It's true that it's just a never-ending journey, but there are also charming little hotels, beautiful lakes and cosy campsites. But when are they going to start learning English?
3. Austria
What an amazing country Austria is! What a landscape, what mountains, what impressive bridges and tunnels they built! Imagine organising a country located in an alpine landscape. It seems to work pretty well too - the campsites we have visited have also been fresh and nice.
4. Slovenia
We didn't know much about Sloveniabut was surprised by how prosperous the country seems to be: beautiful nature, big luxurious villas and strict rules for waste sorting. From here come the companies Elan (skis), Gorenje (kitchen appliances) and Adria (our motorhome!).
5. Croatia
We liked Croatia: nice climate, friendly people and favourable prices. But you have to buy swimming shoes! It's all about rocky beaches and pebbles.
6. Italy
I Italy there's a sense of history constantly ticking away in the background. It's hard not to fall in love with the charming neighbourhoods and beautiful lakes. Spaghetti is overrated, but there are other things to enjoy: olives, lemons, tomatoes and red wines.

It sounds like you had a really nice trip, and an interesting summary in this post.
As an angular engineer, however, I miss a map with a line showing how you drove. 😉

Krister, let's see if it can become a map.
😉
Snobben & Co, thank you! Yes, we are gradually unpacking the occasional travelling experience.
😉
Birgitta, yes, it is freedom! Things don't always go as planned, but that's also part of freedom. You take things as they come!
