After five days at the exclusive Jesolo International campsite, we are a bit spoilt for luxury and exclusivity. Just before we left, for example, we discovered that those who booked an "ultra pitch" each have their own bathroom, reserved just for them. How about that? Anyway, now we've moved on to a completely different place ...
Camping Rialto outside Venice
Now we have arrived at the more ordinary campsite. Camping Rialto, which is outside Venice. This is a big cultural difference from the luxury all-inclusive campsite. Jesolo International where we were before.
You don't go to Camping Rialto for luxury, but to visit Venice, and here you'll find a slightly different kind of clientele: young backpackers and adventurers in camper vans. We've seen lots of cool adventure cars with tents on the roofs.
Of course, we are also planning to go to Venice. We just have to wait for the sick half of the "crew" (Peter and Alexandra) to recover.
the camper van says:
Yes, you can have more fun in the motorhome than being sick with a stomach bug, we tried it when we were in the mountains one winter.
Have passed Venice 2 times but have not entered the city itself anyway. Sometimes think about going there alone with a charter trip because my travelling companion is not very interested.

Stomach flu is never fun!!! Never! Then I can only guess that it is even less fun in a motorhome and even less fun if two or more get sick at the same time - there are not too many toilets in a motorhome and you are right next to each other....
Oh my goodness!!!

The motorhome, no, you don't want a stomach bug... Hopefully we will arrive in Venice later today, but we won't rush. Peter and I have been to Venice before and really think the city is worth a visit, even though it is of course a tourist magnet.
Ninni, no not exactly what you want as I said... We hope they get better soon!

Oh, you are in the vicinity of Venice now.... we are going there later in the autumn....
Answer: I've been an Antifia when it comes to Ullared, but when the daughter was bathing so beautifully... what to do?
Now it will be a long time before I go there again, but between 8-9 in the morning we were almost alone there. 🙂

Whoever sleeps on the roof must surely wake up and get up early, it will be hot there when the sun rises. Definitely not a place I would want to sleep or be sick to my stomach.

Yes, it is fun to see the different visitors in different places, it varies greatly. Hope the sick people get better quickly. Beware of the worst tourist traps, it can be very expensive, we know from experience.

Hope you'll be well again soon!
We got the tip to "wake up" with Venice ie go in as early as possible. We took the 8 o'clock boat and it was very cosy to stroll in the alleys when it was almost empty. In the middle of the day we left the city and returned in the late afternoon to enjoy the evening life. That way we avoided the hottest/crowded part of the day.

Veiken, great that you are going to Venice! Venice is beautiful and maybe in autumn there are less people? Everything is expensive in Venice, but if you avoid the worst tourist traps, it really is a beautiful city worth visiting!
Lars, yes it should be hot... Maybe that's why everyone seems to wake up so early here??
Anders and Birgitta, recovery is a bit slow but we managed to go to Venice! Of course it can be expensive, we have been here before and made some such experiences ...
Anette, sounds cosy! But we have two younger family members in the car that we barely manage to wake up late in the mornings, so we'll probably have to do that when we're alone....
