Visiting the vineyards of Valpolicella was one of the things we were really looking forward to! We visited three wine producers: Viviani, Benedetti and Masi. At both Viviani and Benedetti, we were very well received and got to taste around among the good wines.
Small and large producers
Viviani makes fantastic wines, while Benedetti sells slightly cheaper but very affordable wines. We were very pleased with both visits, and a lot of bottles came with us in the motorhome.
The visit to Masi, which is a major producer, was completely different. There you ended up in a store with expensive bottles and if you had wanted to try it, it would have cost per glass ... There was not a single bottle for us. But as you can see in the centre picture, we have no shortage of wine anyway!
Overnight stay at Agriturismo
In the evening we found a farm signposted "Agriturismo". Here we could stay for free overnight and also borrow the nice pool. In return, we ordered some sparkling wine in the evening and breakfast in the morning.
