As you may know, I lecture from time to time. One of the advantages of this is that you get to visit a lot of different nice and interesting places in Sweden (conferences are often held in old fine farms, mansions, world houses and mills). Today I have been to Gysinge Bruk in Gästrikland.
17th century ironworks
The mill was one of Sweden's largest ironworks from the end of the 17th century and for 250 years afterwards. Today it is home to a hotel, restaurant, conference centre, museum and mill shop.

Gysinge, beautiful Gysinge. when I once had a renovation project, I occasionally visited Byggnadsvårdscenrum to get help with this and that. The surroundings are soooo beautiful.

Katarina, how nice that you visited Gysinge! Yes, it seems that they are very good at building conservation there. And of course it is nice!

I have been on a course in Gysinge, in the spring. Absolutely wonderful with all the white flowers, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The course was about health, by the way.
