Our motorhome has been sitting in the car park for a few weeks and it's getting cold and raw outside. We have now installed the "Torrbollen" moisture absorber. The dry ball will remove excess moisture and reduce the risk of mould and bad odours. It is suggested for the winter storage of boats and caravans, among other things.
Have you used the dry ball?
Now we will leave the Dry Ball inside the motorhome, and we hope it will contribute to a better and drier indoor climate. We haven't tried it before, but we hope it will be good. Have you used the "Torrbollen"?
Ulla Widing says:
That's a good idea....we've had "dry balls" in the caravan before, and it gets more water than you think.

We got tips on the dry ball before last winter. There was a lot of water, I remember we changed it once. Have prepared also for this winter.

We have since maybe 4 weeks ago a normal sized round in the alcove, a large one on the floor and yes... it is more water than you think... We have two in stock for replacement in the future.

We have used dry balls both in the boat and motorhome, works great. Do not forget that they should be replaced (or rather the content, I think it is every 4 weeks or something like that. Says in the instructions, otherwise they have no effect at the end.

I haven't used it myself, but I've heard it's good, so I think it's a great idea.

We have also used dry balls over the winter, and I agree with the others that it collects a lot of water. Imagine if all that went into the motorhome!

Johanna in Skåne says:
We used it extensively in our previous car, which was used a lot for diving... often a lot of water in the car that we needed to get rid of. However, you should not spill the dirt that runs into the container.

Thanks for all the comments! We will remember to change it! It will be interesting to see how much water there is!

We have also had dry balls in the camper over winter, autumn and spring. 'Gets a lot more liquid in it than you think. We had 3 in Biggen, two in the car and one in the toilet.
