People often talk about inspiring places to travel to, but there are also places where you shouldn't go because of war, violence or political instability. We present the places you shouldn't go!
Places to avoid at the moment
From Gadling there is now a list of places to not should visit if you want to get home in one piece. These are places where violence and political instability are part of everyday life. However, Mr Gadling does not rule out that these cities could also become excellent travel destinations in the future...
- Mogadishu, Somalia
- Kandahar, Afghanistan
- Cite Soleil, Port-au-Prince, Haiti
- Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
- West Point, Monrovia, Liberia
- Sanaa, Yemen
- Rocinha favela, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo
- Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
- Harare, Zimbabwe
Across the board says:

I will try to avoid those places! 😉 But on the other hand, we hardly travel at all. When colleagues come back after holidays and tell me about their long trips, I usually counter with the fact that I only came across the forest to Mölntegen.
