A third of Swedes are planning a car holiday in the next year, according to a survey. And they want it to be luxurious and comfortable! Popular destinations include Italy, France and Germany.
Car holidays are popular
Car holidays are obviously popular, according to a survey conducted by Netigate on behalf of TT-Line. When travelling, people mainly want to experience culture (75 percent) and cities (71 percent), but also nature (55 percent) and shopping (30 percent). Most people want to stay comfortably in a hotel, and only 5 per cent prefer a caravan.
What about motorhome holidays?
But now we wonder: 1) Did they forget to ask about motorhomes? and 2) Who has claimed that it not is comfortable to travel with a motorhome/caravan?

I agree, it's super luxurious to drive a motorhome. Come and drive when you want and pick and choose the places you want to visit. That's what we think and probably several with us. 3 M

We have had a caravan for many years. But a motorhome is the best thing that happened to us anyway. Maybe a little crowded if you have many children. But for us it works perfectly. Would never change back. The absolute best way to holiday and get along the road: D. Hugs

I must admit that I have never holidayed in a motorhome (not a caravan either), however, we have been camping quite a lot and compared to that I would think that it is pure luxury life! We have talked about it several times, however, so we will see if there can be a motorhome holiday at some point ...

Seniors Speculate, well you have both freedom and convenience at the same time!
Deciree, I think caravan and motorhome have slightly different uses. A caravan is probably ideal if you are staying in one place for a long time and want to have access to a car. Motorhomes are more suitable if you move frequently and drive longer distances.
Marina, we promise it's a luxury compared to tents!
