We learnt this fruity salad from Robin's girlfriend Alexandra. It's great to serve with pie, lasagne or chicken. Let's just say it's become a favourite! We vary how we make it, but here is our basic recipe.
You will need
- Mixed green leaves, or mech salad (one large bag)
- A galiamelon
- Pears (two)
- Cherry tomatoes (half a small box)
- Mixed nuts (one small bag)
- Dried fruit in small pieces (one small bag)
- Walnut oil (a splash)
How to make the salad
We use a large bag of mixed green leaves (or meche salad, which is also a favourite), a galia melon, two pears, a bunch of cherry tomatoes, a small bag of mixed nuts, a small bag of small pieces of dried fruit and a splash of walnut oil.
Chop the leaves and cut the melon and pear into pieces. Mix everything together in a bowl and drizzle with a little oil. So heavenly good!
