This year we decided on a midsummer celebration at Rullsands camping. We were not at all prepared for the heat and had no swimwear, but it worked out anyway! Then it has become both midsummer lunch and midsummer dinner. And also some hanging out in the beach bar.

Midsummer lunch on the beach
What heat! We were completely unprepared and hadn't even packed swimwear. Luckily, there was a nude bath here on the island. Rullsands camping ...! We packed a herring lunch with eggs and potatoes to the beach and then most of the day has been spent in the sun.
An absolutely fantastic summer day! It was the first bath of the year for me too. Maybe it was a little cool in the water, but I was so warmed up by the sun that a little cooling was needed.
Midsummer dinner and performances
On Midsummer's Eve we grilled salmon, which we ate with new potatoes, rum sauce and salad. We saw a lot of barbecues out in the evening at the campsite... What usually ends up on your barbecue at Midsummer? Do you have special traditions or does it vary? At the campsite's restaurant there were some performances later (André from Idol) so we stopped by for a while.
Colder weather and motorhome fixes
Today we woke up to much colder weather, so the beach was not as appealing. Instead, Peter takes the opportunity to work on a motorhome ...
Midsummer celebrations
As a midsummer celebration, this is very relaxing. You always meet other people when camping or renting a cabin if you want to. There are bars and restaurants here if you want, or if you want to sneak away as we did on the naturist beach. We think that getting out into nature beats most things on a midsummer and Rullsand's campsite is an excellent place for it.

Barbecue sausages in all shapes and sizes of course! However, rubber sausages (Hot Dogs) are banned! A tradition that we have had for over 40 years!
