Nice to hear about these new trends. By the way, I saw that you are going to Iceland, one of my dream destinations! =)

Strange that Thailand is decreasing the most. Just think you hear people going there? I myself have never been there. But to the USA several times. Maybe because you want to experience something instead of just sun and bathing:)

Deciree, there are still many Swedes travelling to Thailand, but apparently this year is the first year that Thailand is not increasing, but decreasing slightly. They say that Thailand may have reached the same "saturation" as the Canary Islands and similar destinations did for a while. But the Swedes probably continue to go there even if it may decrease slightly ... we ourselves liked Vietnam more!

Interesting reading! I love Thailand but there is so much more than Phuket and the usual tourist resorts! Vietnam is fantastic, have you been to Hoi An (you fly to Da Nang).

Pia, of course there are many different places to visit in Thailand, and some are certainly nicer and less touristy than others! Yes, actually, we stayed quite long in Hoi An. We got to know two sisters (our tailors) who took us out to karaoke, nightclubs, theatre and invited us to their home, so we stayed longer than expected. Very nice and charming in Hoi An!
