Now we just have to ask: What's the craziest thing you've seen people bring in their motorhome or to a campsite? When we were at Pite Havsbad a few summers ago, we saw campers who had brought just everything: full trailers with wooden decking, fencing, potted plants and refrigerators.
Quad bike, trampoline or ...
It's not always easy to know what to pack in your campervan, whether you are packing for Southern Europe or plan to stay in Sweden. But some things are more unexpected than others!
Someone had brought their quad bike and someone else their trampoline. However, we did not see anyone who had brought this ... (1.17 minutes into the film you see how they think you should do it). Thanks Ann for the film!
Anders and Birgitta says:
One year when we were in Benidorm, our wintering English neighbours brought a large artificial palm tree which they placed by the awning. Why bring artificial palm trees when there were real ones???

Well, what can you say... fun film anyway...
Last year when we were in Tranås, we looked with wonder at the "seasons" that came ... and who went ... in shuttle traffic between home and the campsite with all that you saw ... wondering why you don't get a summer cottage instead ...
But of course... everyone can do what they feel - I can only say that I wouldn't be able to stand being in the same campsite for several years...

Role o Carina says:
Well, what can I say, it does look nice, but it is
would never occur to us to tow such a pool !!!!
We much prefer to stop at a nice lake and swim,
much more cosy to splash around there is !!!!
2 years ago we stopped at a car park north of Hjo at
Vättern and swim there in the morning, great !!!!
Then you feel good with a nice morning swim, then the
we had a good breakfast in the sunshine, wonderful !!!
Have a nice sunny day.......

Hahahaha talk about it being a bit unnecessary to have a spa with you!

Anders and Birgitta, haha... dragging an artificial palm tree! Fascinating that you can manage...
😉
Frankie & Co, well... even we think it's a bit too much...
😉
Anki, I agree that it is fascinating! I wouldn't want to holiday like that either, but everyone likes different things. I think it may actually be the case that it is an economically sensible alternative to a summer cottage for many.
Rolle and Carina, it's probably better to swim in some lake or sea for us too!
Annika, yes, it may not be the very first and most basic thing you pack anyway....
😉

Last summer we camped in the same place as the notorious electricity salesmen. Out of the caravan they carry a washing machine, life-size! Then they went and got water and filled the machine, plugged it in and washed all night long!

Ha, ha. I think you can see some different things depending on where you travel... At camping sites in Sweden where people put their cars and caravans for a whole season, it looks like mobile homes with EVERYTHING! Just as you write, fences, bouncy castles and trampolines and and...
If you are travelling to...well, wherever it is, why do you take a Swedish wall flag with you and have to put it up. But you may have a great need to say that you are from Sweden and on holiday....I hope that this is not typical Swedish behaviour....

Ninni and the Hjulius motorhome in a corner says:
Oh my god... they were a bit too much to handle hahahahah!
I think I would rather pay a penny and go camping, or go to a water park or a spa or whatever 🙂 than I would drag that thing around - HOW often would you be able to pull it out and start it up?
Now I have not really thought so much about what people have with them as you have as neighbours on campsites. But I know that I have thought about those who seasonally camp and have everything from balconies, flower boxes in masses and div that why not a summer cottage instead? IF you are still mostly in one and the same place.
I think the charm of camping is seeing different places.

Katarina, seasonal camping and travelling and camping are really two different things...!
Ninni, yes, but isn't it? If you want a pool, you can go to a place where there is one! seems much easier than dragging this thing along!
