The reason we are here in Halifax: IASSID World Congress 2012 (IASSID = International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual Disabilities). I spend the days in an air-conditioned congress hall, while Peter enjoys the sun... In the evenings, we can enjoy seafood together at a harbourside restaurant in the evening sun.
Two different worlds
Peter spends his days in the sun, while I listen to lectures in air-conditioned rooms. But I'm not complaining: about 1000 scientists from all over the world have gathered here in the Halifax to present the latest research on intellectual disability. That's also why we are here, because this is the topic that I doctorate i.
Interesting conference
As this is my field, it is obviously very interesting and a great opportunity to meet and get to know researchers from other parts of the world. I've also finished my own presentation now, so I can relax a bit...

If the conference is difficult, we can swap with you. Enjoy as long as possible, unfortunately it goes too fast when you experience something so wonderful. Have a good time. 3 M

Perfect to have the presentation at the beginning, d
Firstly, you don't have to think about what to say, and secondly, there are great opportunities to talk to people who are interested in what you are doing! Have great days in Halifax!
