Malmköpings bad och camping is nicely located at Hosjön. This is a 4-star campsite with good service. There is a service centre with very nice toilets, showers and a kitchen. There is even a crystal chandelier in the service centre!
Malmköping swimming and camping - open all year round
According to the website, Malmköpings bad och camping has 175 camping pitches, 24 of which are located in the lakeside area called "Solkusten". And apparently it is possible to create even more pitches, up to 250, if necessary.
Campsites is open all year round, but during the low season the staffing is of course lower. The reception was manned yesterday, but now during the weekend you have to call if you want something. We are connected to electricity and have only a few metres to walk to the service house, which is heated, cosy - and with a crystal chandelier!
During the summer, the campsite also has a shop and café and offers various activities such as adventure golf, boat trips and fishing. Right now, there's not much more to do than walk in the beautiful, but chilly, surroundings.
Nice location by lake
Malmköpings bad and camping is beautifully situated by Hosjön. In the summer it is certainly popular to sunbathe and swim here. There is a high diving tower and various jetties to swim between. Now in October we are quite lonely when we walk along the shore. It's nice, but really cold, so the warmest jacket is essential even though the sun is out.
Now we have just crawled into the motorhome again and it is time to pick out a book, before it is time to cook dinner. Wishing everyone a continued nice weekend!
Stuck in the mud
We got here ten minutes before they closed and had to park "wherever we wanted" - in the dark. It was too muddy ... The campervan was leaning a bit and we were going to drive up on the yellow blocks to get the car straight - then we realised we were stuck! And so the car sank even deeper to the side ...
If we got off then? Yes, of course we got loose. But we needed some help ... The owner of the campsite came with a four-wheel drive car and a tow rope. Thanks to this, we also found our hook, which was in a gap in the floor by the driver's seats, and had to be screwed in at the front. When we got help, it was pretty quick to get out!

Bosse and Gerd says:
Hello "winter" campers !
Now that it's light outside, we see where you should stand next time you go to Malmköpings camping - near the lake on one of the pitches that are graveled for heavy motorhomes with a large lawn for e.g. chairs and tables directly outside the motorhome.
This should be the case on all campsites, we think - in Germany you'll find plenty of pitches that are designed in this way.
We wish you a nice weekend !
Bosse and Gerd in Södertälje.
