We visited the Underwater World in Langkawi. This is one of the biggest attractions in Langkawi and the huge building houses lots of fish and other animals from a variety of environments, from the rainforest to Antarctica.
Underwater World
The Underwater World is located at the southern end of Pantai Cenang on the Langkawi and is one of the island's most popular attractions. Inside a large white building you will find lots of animals, especially from the marine world. We saw leopard-coloured stingrays, sea apples and clown fish.
But there is more than fish in the Underwater World! It also features animals from different climate zones around the world. You walk through one section after another, from tropical rainforests and temperate climates to Arctic environments. At one point, we walked through a glass walkway with fish swimming around us everywhere.
Exotic birds
There were plenty of exotic birds in every imaginable and unimaginable colour and shape. We saw flamingos, black swans and lots of birds that I of course do not know the name of. We may have read the names in English, but the names of birds and fish in English are always difficult, I think!
Monkeys, seals and penguins
We also saw a lot of other animals, such as monkeys, seals and penguins. The most fun of all was watching the "Rockhopper" penguins, who jump on their feet from rock to rock. Fun to watch, but hard to capture on film, so to speak. We must say that this was a nice aquarium that was worth a visit, and provided a moment of "respite" from the intense sun...
Role o Carina says:
Looks wonderful, nice to see some different animals that exist.
Here we have Sun and - 5 degrees today and we are going towards the light.
Hope you are having a good time and enjoying the sun 🙂 .
