The Swedes' desire to travel is increasing and this summer's favourite destination is Croatia. This is shown when Resia presents the Travel Barometer. They also present this summer's four travel trends. What do you think about them? Do you recognise yourself?
This summer's four remaining trends
Here you can find all four trends from the Travel Barometer.
- The training trip - 75,000 Swedes are going on a training holiday this summer. The greatest interest is among women aged 15-34 and among Norwegians (!).
- First minute - 26% of Swedes intend to book their summer holiday as early as possible.
- Refuse to be ordinary - Although classic destinations are still popular, the range of destinations is increasing. It should be unique and personal
- Book via tablet - In January this year, 10 per cent booked their trip on a tablet, compared to 2 per cent at the same time last year.
Ditte says:
No, I don't recognise myself. Croatia is beautiful, but I don't think it stands out so much compared to other destinations.
When I was young (a long time ago) I spent a lot of time in the former Yugoslavia. But today, I don't know...
And I would never go on a training trip. For me, it's probably no charter and more personal destinations.
But it is good that charters exist because they are a great help to many people.
It's interesting to see which trends you believe in...
But Mallorca is always a hot destination for everyone...

Mrs Kerstin says:
No thanks, we stay at home during the summer, only small trips. But otherwise Croatia would be interesting. Glad you're taking the plunge and going on a long trip. Is there any particular destination that attracts you?
Have a nice Barselon holiday. What a great win!

Love Croatia and have been there four times I think! Been there for a while, driving through Bosnia and on to Croatia, travelling between the islands, by bus... from Dubrovnik to Rijeka. There are many nice places, not only by the sea. Can recommend the national parks Plitvice and Krk!

Ditte, charter might be practical if you are stressed, don't have time to plan, have children, etc? Personally, I find it boring and would not choose it.
Kerstin, thank you! No, no special destination that attracts actually ... more the travelling itself.
😉
Pia, I can imagine that there are many nice places in Croatia! We have been to Istria with the motorhome, but as I said, there are many other parts of Croatia too!

Ninni and the Hjulius motorhome in a corner says:
Yes, there are so many nice places you would like to go to. But you have to graze a little at a time, and according to how life happens to be at the moment. With teenagers in the house, it is not always possible / want / dare to be away for a month at a time as they may not want to go out with the motorhome. Long trips for four people are also quite expensive... but a lot of fun.
But all places are interesting in their own way.

Ninni, you do have to adapt to life! Long journeys for many can be really expensive. A bit better with a motorhome though, as you can cook in the car.
